Honestly, I've been going to A&W for a couple of years, at least twice a week. Sometimes, my son refuses to eat anything else due to sensory issues related to his autism, and the chicken strips there are the only thing he will eat. However, in the last few months, the food quality has been disgusting. They serve stale food that seems like it's been sitting there; the chicken strips are rubbery. When I ask for fresh ones, they insist it's fresh, but I can tell they're not—the texture is off, and they feel rubbery. The quality is so bad, and the employee working there has a terrible attitude. He argues and claims the food is fresh when it clearly isn't. I've visited other A&W locations, and their chicken strips aren't stale and rubbery like this.
They know the food is for kids, yet they still serve stale items, which is unacceptable. Today, I specifically requested fresh food, but it was still stale. At this point, I've decided not to go back and instead write a review. I'm not the only one; I know others who have complained about the burgers being bad too because they're not fresh. They really need to train their staff better or hire new people.
Now I have to throw away the food because my kid can't eat stale food due to his sensory issues. He shouldn't have to deal with that. I paid for fresh food, and this is disappointing. Do yourself a favor and go...
Read moreThis is a great location for anyone who loves A&W. The food is always great. At other locations, I normally find the onion rings and sweet potato fries very soggy, but the cooks here have put out consistently good sides every time, from my experience.
I don't normally get coffee at fast-food stops, but if I do, I like to go for A&W's coffee. It is delicious and cheaper compared to McDonalds and Tim Hortons, which is a plus. I really enjoyed their cold drinks and shakes. They carried an açai shake, but the last few times I have tried to order it they informed me that the machine is down. I am starting to think they are just going to discontinue the drink.
Other than that, it's a nice location with outdoor seating and plenty of space inside. The staff are very nice when serving you and the wait...
Read moreInformed that when making the sandwiches the employees don't wear gloves, they was their hands every single time and not very clean. I used to love to eat there but I found this out when I suppose to be working there but never got a chance a continue due to the fact they told me I would get 50 cents above minimum wage but they information me that was 25 cents cause part time. That means my 5 years experience working in different fast restaurant mean nothing to them. There I urge any visiting any fast food restaurants do they wear gloves when making your mean or not. If they do good if not then leave and spend your...
