O Sushi — Restaurant in Mount Pearl

Checked out O Sushi for dinner in Mount Pearl Smart Centre. Overall, we had a good experience! There is limited seating inside (2 tables with benches), so seems to be more of a take-out place vs. dine in. This is why I am giving the atmosphere a 3 star - it's tastefully decorated, but not spacious for multiple diners to enjoy dinner at once.

In terms of the sushi, everything was very fresh and cooked/sliced well. The sashimi was sliced in generous portions, and we quite enjoyed the peppering on the tuna sashimi. The salmon platter had a nice variety of options; I do wish the Spicy Salmon Rolls were actually spicy, they were more mild in flavor.

The aged gyoza was deep fried to a great level - crispy on the outside, soft in the middle and a nice light brown color. The flavour was good, but not our favorite gyoza we've had.

Overall, we would go back to grab a quick to-go meal...

Great tasting sushi & fantastic people running the place! I ordered a party tray & tempura and offhandedly mentioned it was for my birthday, the chef gave me a special sashimi dish and the server gave me free drinks which made my day so much better!! We were greeted immediately upon entering. Our cashier had a big and warm smile and was so pleasant. All the employees were so helpful and the food was brought out quickly, while we waited they gave us water without even asking! We did take out. They even helped us out since we had a few bags.
