Lucky Belly — Restaurant in Mount Royal

I went to LuckyBelly for the first time this weekend after hearing the rave about Royalmount. They have healthy style poke bowls with fresh fish, which was really good. The Big Mak egg rolls was something different that I really enjoyed, I love the twist on the tradition egg roll. Their fried Chinese donut churros are amazing, not too sweet and crispy all around. They have different flavour canned drinks that really make it feel like an Asian style restaurant. Service was quick and very organized. The tables were always cleaned right away by workers, so you never have to worry about not having a place to eat. This is a 3.5 for me. Poke bowls are ok, decent protein portions, fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, you cannot customize it to your liking. I don’t recommend the wontons as appetizers. The lady taking my order was very dry & unwelcoming, it’s a food court establishment after all. You get a beeper to get notified when your order is ready. The tables were quite clean, there’s a lot of traffic and can get noisy as this place is located at the entrance of the food court. We were shopping at the new Royalmount mall and we got hungry. There were lots of options at the food court that looked very interesting, after walking around we decided to try Lucky Belly. And it was a fabulous choice! We ordered salmon tartar to try, yes please, can we have another one, it was sooo good! Ok, maybe 2 is not enough, I wish I can have all I can eat 😀 Upon a return visit we tried the salmon poke bowl, also delicious.
