The night started very well with the focaccia bread and fresh burrata and turned into a nightmare.
We were a small group of girls and we came here to celebrate our friendâs birthday. We ordered cocktails and after 30 minutes of waiting we had to call our waitress to remind her about our drinks and she said âsorry, I forgot to inform you we no longer have mint for mojitosâ. Anyways we let that go and ordered new options instead.
The restaurant was lively, everybody was smiling and talking and we saw peoplesâ orders pass by, the food looked very tasty.
Next thing you know our waitress arrived with our drinks and the whole tray just falls on us directly! I mean broken glass all over the table and couch, ice and our drinks spilled all over our dresses and feet.
Her first response not âI am sorryâ but a wince (une esti de grimace). She then leaves to get the buss boy I guess and did not come back with paper for us to dry so we used our napkins (lido) to clean ourselves. Everybody was looking it was not a pretty sight!
The manager came and to our surprise it was not to come see us but the table next door and asked the couple if they were okay, if they were wet and apologized, But us the ones affected by the impact, the ones standing, NOTHING. He did not come all night to apologize, to asked what happened, to offer anything (not that it is the point but by principle)
We then chose another table to sit and she comes to say yes you can sit there⊠We were not going to return where we were when the drinks were all over the couch. She finally took the time to apologize and told us we would not be charge for the drinks.
When she came back with the new drinks, she proceeded to tell us she was a klutz because while making our first drinks she had broken a glass and then she broke all the glasses at the table⊠Like are we supposed to laugh at this? What are we supposed to do with this informationâŠ
We finally got our main course to eat.. Mind you we arrived at 8:30pm and our main dish was served at 10pm. The presentation for my plate personally was not good compared to other people who had ordered the same but the food was very delicious. I highly recommend the lemon pasta.
The rigatoni amatriciana was good but the guanciale was fully burned (the birthday girlâs plate).
The waitress tried to lighten the mood as much as she could but I wonât lie it was already kind of ruined. We no longer wanted dessert or coffee. We just wanted to leave.
We will still come back to try some other time because the food was very fresh and good, the atmosphere was nice and it is a beautiful place. But for a first time experience we were very disappointed!
P.S: Mr. Edouard, I donât know if you are the manager or assistant manager but you did not do your job. You should have come to us directly! You spoke to people who were not affected and stood by your friends at the bar like you were part of the restaurantsâ...

This wasn't merely a suggestion; it was an imperative, a shared understanding that this was a culinary experience too extraordinary not to share with those we cherish most.
