After a walk through the new Royalmount mall, my girlfriend and I decided to stop in at Milestones for lunch. We’d seen the restaurant on previous visits but had never tried it, and the weather was just right for their shaded outdoor terrace. The location is stylish and welcoming, and the terrace had a nice breeze that made it a perfect spot to relax. Inside, the décor looked modern and comfortable, and the overall ambiance struck a nice balance between casual and refined.
Service was excellent from the moment we walked in—our server was warm, attentive, and helpful without being overbearing. I ordered the double smash burger, which was juicy and packed with flavour, although it was a bit difficult to eat neatly and definitely required extra napkins. My girlfriend chose a vegetarian portobello mushroom dish (the name escapes me), and she was genuinely impressed by how well prepared it was. We also shared a plate of calamari, which ended up being the highlight of the meal—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned just right. No complaints at all on that front.
We each had a cosmopolitan, and they were mixed perfectly—not too sweet, not too strong. Everything about the food and drink was enjoyable, but the price point felt a bit inflated. The bill came to $113 with tip, which seemed high considering we didn’t order anything particularly extravagant. We’ve dined at Michelin-mentioned restaurants in 2025 for less. That said, the combination of setting, service, and quality of the meal still made it a very enjoyable experience. We’d definitely consider coming back for a...
Read moreBeautiful restaurant - ideal for a summer day, there's a big terrace and many other restaurants/park area nearby to dine with a nice view. Parking is now also free for up to 4hours, you can park comfortably indoors anytime.
First time trying this chain, we ordered a coconut calamari appetizer, which sounded and looked great in the photo, but the shape and texture of the calamari was very odd once we got it. These were kind of like rounded french fries, did not taste like coconut at all and had a spicy sauce. These are not your fresh breaded calamari, they appear to be frozen.
We sampled a korean style steak sandwich with side of ceasar salad and I got the blackened chicken breast and pasta. The food descriptions all seem very unique and fresh when we read the menu but once it arrives, it seems like there are missing some components, kind of disappointing. My pasta was average, cold too when it arrived, the sandwich had good asian flavors and meat was tender however.
I think the items are hit or miss - often the description seems a lot better than reality.
We ate during a friday afternoon, place was empty - service was prompt, no issues. Don't think i'll be back as food is quite average for price. The variety of options and nice location is what...
Read moreFinding the restaurant was a bit complicated we were not aware it was outside as a few other restaurants were. Once we got the we realized parking outside in the lot was better since we could have just walked up the stair right to the restaurant. The greater was nice and gave up a choice of seating. Our waitress Daphne, took our drink order right away and gave us time to enjoy our mimosas then took our orders. She was attentive and upbeat. The food was served quickly and looked very appetizing. It was at a great temperature and served with condiments so no need to asked. The food tasted very good, the savouriness of the Shakshuka was really really good, we didn’t receive the sourdough toast that was supposed to come with it but we share the toast from the Ultimate M Breakfast. The eggs were well cooked and the bacon cooked perfectly, the waffle was fluffy and the syrup was enough for it. The potatoes were the right amount and combination. The sourdough toast was warm, buttery and chewy. Overall it was a great experience and meal. The coffee was a bit strong but my partner loved it like that I diluted mine with milk. The price was reasonable for the amount of food received and we had to remember now that tipping amount is after the...
