Arrow and Anchor Pizza — Restaurant in Nakusp

My wife and I stopped in Nakusp on our way up to Halcyon hot springs as we are on a little honeymoon trip. The lady inside greeted us right away and was very pleasant and it was a lovely little place. We were surprised and happy to find gluten free options for pizzas and vegan cheese. You can't always find that, especially in a small town. They had this delicious appetizer as well, roasted root vegetables and they were to die for! Great idea by these people. We learned the waitress and the cook were the owners and wife and husband. They just opened roughly a year ago and have managed to start this amazing pizza place. They are very nice people and the waitress/owner was very nice to talk to and friendly and caring. She gave us a free piece of chocolate peanut butter cake as well cause she found out we were on our honeymoon. Very kind. And the cake was also amazing. Excellent pizza! We arrived at about 7:30 on Sunday and they let us dine in despite being close to closing time. The tomato sauce was legit, quality, authentic and simple pomodoro, and the pizza crust had the perfect amount of crisp and chewiness, topped with quality and delicious ingredients. We had the meat lovers and after a long day on the road it more than hit the spot, with a super yummy Caesar salad, with a great addition of fried capers and hot freshly grilled pancetta. We enjoyed our experience and the local quality ingredients used. The service was very friendly. We moved from Vancouver to Kelowna and have been missing good pizza for about a year and were delighted to discover a great slice here in Nakusp - definitely better than any we’ve had in Kelowna! Just sat down, first day of our vacation, ordered a couple pizzas with my wife and kids, looking forward to a nice dinner. We arrived with one seated table, ordered promptly as 5 other tables followed us and ordered afterwards.

We waited and watched every table get food and eat before us, without communication...... We asked if we had been forgotten, only to get a rude response to wait....

We are very patient people and a simple explanation would suffice, but nothing and a cold shoulder was strange and uncomfortable. No apologies or anything really?!
