Mountain Top Cafe — Restaurant in Nakusp

Oh baby, it’s Coffee Daddy here, and let me tell ya, the Mountain Top Cafe in Nakusp is the real brew-mance I’ve been searching for. The cortado? Smooth, rich, and hotter than a Tim Hortons on fire—which, honestly, would be an improvement on their usual vibe.

This place is adorable, with just the right dash of mountain charm, and the dude running it? Cool as ice, but serving coffee that’s pure warmth. I’d bet even that nice old Asian guy who passed out atop Coit Tower last year would perk right up with a sip of this magic.

Solid coffee shop. Yet another great option in Nakusp. They have their own twist, with different pH's of coffee for those that have trouble with the acidity of coffee. Its a very young, and new coffee shop, so things are still settling in as they try to find their identity, and stick out in the Kootenays. Their baked goods are fantastic, with a huge variety. Though they might want to find some covers for them, as they are currently just open to the air, so they dry out a bit, and have a few people breathing on them. First time in Nakusp, and found this little cafe and decided to check it out and it was probably one of our best decisions. All their pastries and food were delicious, even if not warmed up. I ordered a hot matcha latte and my husband ordered and iced mocha and they were one of the best we've had.

It was so good, we had to get extra pastries before we headed back home. We got the banana bread, danishes, sausage rolls, and an apple turnover. Highly recommend!
