I used to go to starbucks everyday, but I think Iām done after this.
Yesterday when I was there they didnāt have Cold Brew, which was disappointing but nonetheless I got the girl to make me something else. I didnāt like it so I went back later and asked the replace it and then was charged for a new drink.
This wouldnāt usually annoy me but I worked at Starbucks as a Shift Supervisor on the mainland for 7 years and I know full well that in this scenario, just as starbucks does with everyone else, they shouldāve offered to replace my drink for me, not charge me for a new one and look and speak to me as if iām an idiot.
THEN, this morning I go back to starbucks hoping to get my cold brew and I went inside to order. The girl tells me I will have to wait 15-30 minutes for cold brew???? It is 8:10 and I start work at 8:30, so NO?? And do instead, I mentioned an Iced Coffee. This girl looked me dead in the eye and said flat out ānoā ā¦.. I was like ok if I have to wait for that how long? āsame as cold brewā and so I said alright and she dismissed meā¦.. as if i didnāt want anything elseā¦. There was NOBODY in line. It doesnāt take much effort to help your customer find something else. I wouldāve and did millions of times working for this company.
She was so passive and rude and I am just absolutely distraught that someone can treat people like that and still work in customer service.
I know the Starbucks mission statement and values and that did not nurture or āinspire spiritā at all. I hope someone from head office sees this so something can be done. Please prepare for your morning rush. Iced coffee, hot coffee or not. That ruined my whole day today,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had gone through the drive through and i asked for a venti iced chai latte and i ended up getting just a regular venti chai latte, iām not one to really drink hot drinks and especially not when iām thinking iāll be getting a cold one. I also hate having to ask them to remake it because i just end up feeling bad, but i worked up the courage to go inside and ask them if they could re make it. As soon as i open the door there was a very polite gentleman (who i assumed worked there and was just on break or stopping in for some breakfast because he probably gets a great discount) that asked me if there was a problem and i explained to him what had happened and he right told one of the baristas and they re made it for me instantly, like when i say instantly i mean it. this girl literally stopped everything she was doing and remade my drink so fast and she was very polite about it. i was so pleased that day and it was the best experience iāve ever had at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will go out of my way to go to any other Starbucks, even though this one is near my house. The drive thru is a nightmare, and when I called recently to ask what we should do when the lineup is going the wrong way, I was promptly told that they don't police the parking lot. For the record, I asked what I should do (do I join the drive thru line that's going the wrong way, or do go the correct way and hope one of the people who can't read the signs in the parking lot lets me in). The person on the phone literally said nothing.... just stayed on the phone staying silent until I hung up. Add this to the fact that any time I've actually gone here, my order has been too sweet and skimpy on the espresso, and I'm just not sure why anyone wastes their time here. It's worth the drive to go to Parksville or to the south end...
