Final Update I ordered and asked for a bit of sweet and sour sauce drizzled over my rice. Well she said that I had to buy a container of sauce. I said there was no issue last time or anytime for that matter. I said your food is marginal at best and is very bland and the very reason I asked for it on my rice. Well that's my last time there. At nearly $17 and there was very little on my sweet and sour chicken balls. Got it as is my favorite Chinese restaurant and was kind of disappointed. It certainly wasn't the same as when it was open for eat in. Do not blame them as I think having no in restaurant feedback is the key here. That being said that certainly is no excuse. It was bland. Will this dictate me eating their food? No, not this time but not saying it will not change my thoughts next time. Sadly it is by far my favorite place and not cheap either. Paying for good food is one thing but paying for alright food makes me speak out. Them being short staffed may not help but tasting the food would cure it. Their eggrolls were the best but just alright. All in all if I were them I would take any feedback and make improvements as needed can only show you are trying. I am giving 4 stars for now which will go either way depending on the next order. UPDATE Well tried again May 18_22 and still the same as above but found out they will not be reopening dining room anytime soon as they have no cook I was told. This explains a lot with the bland food. Me I will be waiting for awhile before getting again as is far to expensive to not have a great experience while eating. It took forever to get my order. Reason given was they were eating lunch. I kid you not that was what I was told. Well have to lower rating as well since my order interrupted their lunch. Did not matter about my lunch. I had to select one because zero is not an option if you want to make a review.The only reason we went to Double Dragon was because KAO was not open today. It was the worst chinese meal I ever had at DD. I had been there years ago and the food was bad. It has not changed. The chicken balls had wet uncooked dough inside and tiny piece of chicken. All dishes were cold or room temperature. There was chewy hard battered chicken on some dishes, the beef was rubbery, the wings were so hard it seemed like they were recooked numerous times. The vegetables were hard, runny plum sauce and the red sauce was congealed ...no flavor. All of the food tasted like it was made two weeks ago and re served several times. I thought great at least they have ice cream...can' t mess up ice cream. Ummmmm. The ice cream was crystalized. It had been thawed and refrozen multiple times making it luke gravel texture.. The chocolate was a strange color and the vanilla did not taste right. The chocolate fountain was not running but sitting with pools of chocolate stuck on it. Please know our waitress was lovely! That was the only positive part of the experience. This was supposed to be a special outing/ celebration. We spent $30 per person to sit around with bad stomach all evening. We tried to eat the ice cream because there was a sign that said you pay extra if you do not eat your food...we could not finish it. I stopped to politely speak with our kind waitress about our experience. There were many dishes offered but quality over quantity may be a better plan. If it is possible to cook fresh ,...

I was a regular customer until Covid, But I no longer will be after I found out about things and a person experience my friend had with them. I'll never support them again.

For starters buffet is now 30$ per person. Which is just insane!

And, If you leave food on your plate you need to pay for it. My question is, What if it's a Childs plate? That's silly.

The owner of the place (might) be sexist. One of her mangers hired my friend (male) and when she (The owner) met him for the first time, She seemed off. At the opening night, Fired him right on the spot. Said "You're not ready" (Not even a true reason, As this was after she said herself it would take him time to get used to this position) Weird right? He's had years of experience in this field. Rarely get's fired and hard worker. But then he noticed how all the men were only in the back, And there were only female waitresses. At one point, After he got fired. He called to get his check. Someone said, "X is calling for his check" The owner in the background made a OOF sound like to be like ew. Like "ewwgff." So she had something against him for some reason. (This is just our side of the story. Not good, And very fishy if you ask me. But take it with a grain of sault because the owner wont tell us the true reason he got fired. "Not ready" Nobody is ready for a new job.. Treat your employees better!)
