We went to this place to try their breakfast as I always wanted to try it. My husband, my 2 year old son and myself went smiling to the place around 11am on Aug 26th. The woman behind the counter had a full on attitude. I thought she was having a bad day and I took it, smiling back and apologizing as we wanted to look through the menu. I wanted to have a good experience as this was our first time entering this place. There were no smiles. Unfortunately, I forgot to mention that we don't eat meat so that was a mistake on our part when the other batista came with our food, one of the sandwich had meat in it. But she also gave a stern answer "that's not bacon, that's prosciutto". As we don't eat pork we thought it was probably plant based. The other women who took our order quickly came to our table and said that's made out of pork. I quickly apologized and asked if we can change it, she said we could but gave me a statement in a very unfriendly tone "its important you mention this to us as I wasn't aware!" and i kept apologizing and as she walked away she made a face. The was a blow! My husband saw that, called her and cancelled the order and told her she shouldn't have done that. If you have a camera in the store you should check it. She gave us our refund for the 1 sandwich that took her 2 mins to make. I couldn't finish my coffee, or enjoy my sandwich and we walked out angry! What an unpleasant and unwelcoming experience! I am a dental hygienist, my husband is a business man, we own properties but We are grounded and humble people, we didnt need those 2 women to ruin our morning. You are there to serve us, be polite to us, customers can make mistakes in ordering meals, we will pay more if its required but the service was horrible. They both need to be trained! If they hate their job, they shouldn't be there throwing their attitude to customers. I am just so disappointed with the whole experience I felt in my life for the first time in Alliston!

I normally try and support independent coffee houses but there are not a lot to choose from in Alliston. So when I meet people for coffee and a pastry this is where I go. The atmosphere is nice, the service is good, and the coffee, tea and desert selections are plentiful. They do serve lunch but I have not eaten a meal there. The one comment I would make is the outdoor seating is fine, but there are no tables with sun coverings, so it can be hot. Also there are often tables being used as work stations, and I am not sure how they control that. But there is usually seating and there is ample free parking as well. My favourite pastry are the custard tarts. They are delicious!

This morning, my friend's and I were craving a London fog latte-but the weather was just so beautiful, we needed an iced drink. After being turned away from Tim Hortons for our request of an iced London Fog, we hesitantly called up Coffee Culture. The sweetest barista, Stephanie answered our call and delightfully offered to make us these drinks. Not only did she fulfil our unorthodox request but she was super friendly and chatted with us while preparing the drinks. This experience was great, I will surely return to this location! Thank you Stephanie!

Update: I've since been back here to Coffee Culture in Alliston and thought I would re-review my previous Yelp comments and give an update, after reviewing what I previously wrote I feel like I scored this place a little too high.

I have been in Coffee Culture at least 3-4 times and pretty much just get a coffee and a muffin and I'm out the door, but yesterday I went in and sat down for awhile with my coffee and my muffin. I had no intentions of giving an update on my yelp at the time but I looked around the place and saw that the place was very dirty and my table was dirty.

As I started processing what was going on I noticed a women at the front counter arguing with someone on the staff about not getting the right change back and so the women stormed out leaving her coffee and food behind. I don't know what that was all about but I could tell that this location seems like it may have started to slip a little from my last visit, I finished my coffee and went to the washroom only to find that it didn't have hot water and there was no toilet paper.

The washroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile and was very run down looking, I hope this place can pick itself up a little better because before this I've only ever had good times here.

I drove an hour to this location because I was craving coffee culture! We used to have a location in Barrie that unfortunately closed down, but that’s never stopped me, I will make the trek. I came in on 03/19/24 at 16:59 and with the stores hours on this day being open until 18:00 i figured an hour would be more than enough time to grab a bite to eat and a coffee. Unfortunately the women working behind the counter refused to serve me and said they stopped serving food since they close in a little over an hour. I thought this was quite odd, especially since they advertise as a cafe and eatery, for example: imagine going to mcdonald’s an hour before close and they turn you away because they don’t want to have to clean up or to put it lightly, do their job. I have visited this location before and had very poor treatment, but i have never been denied my meal. I will be contacting head office about this, as i’m sure they’re not aware of this “rule” and i hope that if i do choose to return (given the circumstances the last few times i’ve visited that isn’t likely) i’m served no matter what time i enter during business hours. I specifically want to note the date and time to ensure management/head office is aware of what their staff is allowing when...
