So, plot twist — I was originally headed to Shelby Shawarma next door. But then I had that déjà vu moment: “Oh great, another shawarma spot where it’s probably run by everyone except Middle Easterners.” Nothing personal (I’m Persian, so technically I can say this without getting canceled, right?), but I kind of prefer my Indians serving me butter chicken, not shawarma, sushi, tacos, and probably filet mignon by next week. Shawarma should be left to the Middle Easterns, period.
Anyway, I peeked into this tiny ramen joint — three tables, tighter than my jeans after a buffet — and saw actual Asians running it. Sold. I walked in like I’d discovered the culinary promised land.
Ordered the Black Garlic Filet Mignon Ramen and a Chicken Teriyaki Rice dish, with a side of their “Volcanic” hot sauce. Teriyaki verdict? Saltier than my ex on Valentine’s Day. But maybe that’s just me since I don’t shovel table salt like it’s confetti. Generous on the rice, a respectable amount of chicken — but if you’re a protein junkie like me, order double unless you want to play “Where’s Waldo?” with your meat. BTW, that half of egg... is To Die For! It was Eggtastic!
My wife had the ramen and was basically in flavor heaven. She said the beef was tender, like melt-in-your-mouth tender. Meanwhile, I’m just dumping their Volcanic hot sauce all over my dish like it’s ketchup. To be fair, it is spicy for the average Joe, but since I treat Ghost peppers as “mild salsa,” it was more like a light tingle. I ate it all anyway — flex achieved.
Bill came to around $40. Honestly? Worth it. Especially when you’ve got one hardworking gal running the whole operation like Gordon Ramsay on Red Bull. Service was top notch — better than half the five-star restaurants where ten people forget to refill your water.
Would I come back? Absolutely. Next time, I’m trying something else on the menu — and probably ordering enough chicken to open...

Customer Service: the lady who was there was very nice, she was doing all the work alone, servicing everyone and she nailed it. She gave us everything we asked for and she was polite and friendly.
The Food: ALL the food arrived HOT and fresh,I couldn't believe it. I am not talking about just warm, but it was so hot and tasty that we had to wait to eat it. Since it was my boyfriend and I's first time,we wanted to try different items so that's why there's a lot of food mentioned. The spring rolls and enoki rolls were nice but out of the appetizers, the karaage bun and the curry fries were fantastic and our absolute favorites!. The bun was very fluffy and moist and the karaage chicken was seasoned well. The karaage rice curry was a good size, could even be shared among 2 or 3 people,as well as the beef ramen. I got the Tom Yum steak ramen and yet,it was too spicy for my taste but still very good. I must mention that there is an option for a less spicy ramen, less salty and less oily for those who want to change anything, I didn't see it until after I ordered it. The meat was sizzling when it was served to us and it was well cooked. They don't have too many drink options but the ramune was very nice, not too sweet nor too sparkly and it went well with our meal.
The price: Honestly, for the amount of food we got I could see the high price we paid for. Some of the appetizers could be cheaper but overall,I can't complain too much.
Conclusion:will I come back here?,definitely. Not really sure why the reviews before were so mixed but my boyfriend and I...
Read moreOut of all the establishments I have been to, this has to be one of the places with the worst experience I have ever had. I went in with some friends to enjoy a nice lunch, and we wanted to try a restaurant we hadn't been to before since it was our first time in Canada. After arriving, we ordered our food, and I went to use the restroom. Why did I go in and right before my eyes, right in front of my salad, there was a roach?? I was appalled to say the least, I got jumpscared less when I was playing poppy playtime... Anyway, I went back to tell my friends what happened during my little journey and our food arrived not too long after. I ate my food, which was actually not bad at all. I knew what I was getting myself into while I was browsing the menu, but the meal ended up being quite pricey. We paid, each left a tip, and went about our days. However, what was most shocking to me was that during my trip in Canada, I learned that this restaurant doesn't actually give their servers their tips. That's insane!!! If I come back to Canada, I will not be stepping foot in this place again. An awful and grotesque experience AND wasting my money for servers not the get tipped is not equal to some...
