Yes Let us be frank... very frank indeed. This is an "Italian" style sandwich and pizza shop on Davis Drive In Newmarket right near a McDonalds and Wendys/Tim Hortons. It was the crack of noon and they advertised on a billboard as the best veal sandwich in town. A guy outside said all the sandwiches are good but he just was at Mr Sub and he didn't eat veal out of principles. So I ordered the chicken sandwich which comes in at $9.95 and any toppings are extra. The owner or worker told me that fully loaded this was around $16. That's a bit steep if you ask me so I stuck to the chicken sandwich with no additional toppings. He had ONE piece of chicken ready in the warmer tray and proceeded to dunk it in sauce and put it on the bun. This is one tiny piece of breaded chicken. I am used to California Sandwiches and by comparison this is almost the same price and maybe half the chicken as California Sandwiches. You are basically getting an $8.50 tiny piece of chicken and a $1 bun with a smidge of sauce. This is perhaps the biggest rip off in the sandwich venues available on Davis Drive or in fact anywhere. Absolutely a terrible value and a fairly run of the mill sandwich. It is basically a giant bun with a touch of sauce and small piece of chicken. Clearly I am not the only one unimpressed since this was 12 noon and there was only one other person in the store. Everywhere else in the mall was jammed. I would highly suggest people avoid this place since its as easy as falling off a rock to find a better product and value. Popeyes even with the raised prices is cheaper and bigger and better. Even McDonalds with the new Chicken Big Mac at around $7 you are getting two pieces of chicken. Just look at the photo. You go to California and the chicken is falling out of the bun. Even Pizza Nova at just over $10 includes hot or sweet peppers and its not all bun. Let's Be Frank.. if I wanted a bun sandwich I could just go home. In no way worth the money REALITY check to owner. ALL the other real Italian places make their food from scratch. California Sandwiches has been around since the 1960's. The Nonas in the back used to be making the stuff from scratch since forever. Lots of places in Vaughan make it from scratch. But they don't gouge on price and skimp on portion size.

Let's Be Frank Italian Eater is an absolute gem that I highly recommend to all Italian food enthusiasts. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a clean and inviting atmosphere, accompanied by a delightful aroma that immediately whetted my appetite. The staff were incredibly friendly, providing exceptional service that made me feel like a valued guest. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh boy, it was outstanding! The flavors were authentic and mouthwatering, truly capturing the essence of traditional Italian cuisine. Each dish was prepared with love and attention to detail, resulting in a culinary experience that was simply superb. The menu offered a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes, and every bite left me wanting more. The seating area was intimate, creating a cozy and comfortable ambiance. It felt like dining in a well-run family-owned establishment, which added to the overall charm of the place. The limited parking was a minor inconvenience, but well worth it for the dining experience that awaited inside. All in all, Let's Be Frank Italian Eater is a must-try for anyone seeking authentic and delicious Italian cuisine. With its incredible food, friendly staff, and inviting atmosphere, I can confidently say that I will be back for more. Don't miss out on this wonderful dining experience!

Amazing Italian deli and dine in I stopped at Newmarket for an errand and this place caught my eye with its name I tried the veal parmigiani sandwich and was thoroughly satisfied. Two veal cutlets showered in meat sauce, between a huge bun, with shrooms, cheese, peppers, and other toppings. The sandwich was huge and very tasty. Even half the sandwich kept me full for most of the day. This was so good that if I were closer to Newmarket, I would try their pizza, spaghetti and pasta dishes, other sandwiches, coffee, and pizzas as I am sure the quality of those must be good as well The dine in area has self serve condiments in including parmesan. The dine in space is nice and cozy, well maintained, tidy, and nicely decorated with appropriate themed regalia. This is how food should be. It's humorous that there is a McDonalds across the restaurant that is serving much less impressive food for about the same fare and people skip Franks. Shame. There should not be a McDonalds there with Franks here

After moving to East Gwillimbury, my husband and I were on the hunt for some authentic Italian sandwiches and pizza, and not only did this place not deliver on authenticity, it was actually the most disgusting pizza we’ve ever had. We went there first a couple months back and got veal parm sandwiches for take out, they were out of half the toppings and the veal was fried so quickly that it wasn’t even remotely crispy and the sandwich ended up being a soggy piece of meat in a stale, rock hard bun. We were super disappointed but kept reading great things, so decided to try their pizza about a month back. I called and ordered a pizza with Italian sausage (a premium topping!) and green olives and asked the woman if it were cured or cooked sausage, it took her a minute but she assured me it was cured Italian sausage. My husband went to go pick up the pizza and opened it to find processed balls of sausage on it, the man behind the counter asked if everything was alright and my husband said that we were told it was cured sausage. The guy looks at him and says “yes! Cured, cooked!” and walks away, and the woman jumped in and said it was pre-cooked sausage. My husband came home with the pizza and said it was going to be terrible, so I open it and try to pick up a piece, the crust was not cooked at all and was all torn, and the cheese was at least double the thickness of the crust. I popped the pizza onto a pan and tried baking it to salvage our $32 pizza, but even with that we ended up eating a couple pieces and threw the rest out. This place is unbelievably unauthentic, save your money and go to Molisana or literally anywhere else for...
