This is my first Pho Anh Vu, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We don't often come to Newmarket, so I don't know the area, however I'm really happy we found this place to eat.
I was glad they had complementary chilled tea, and the coconut milkshake I ordered was just as refreshing and had real coconut shavings mixed in.
Our appetizers were mango shrimp salad and the tasting platter; both were excellent, but the mango salad was so perfectly seasoned and portioned generously. I usually don't order chicken or beef that isn't in soup, but my friends did and I tried some of theirs and I was so impressed. Both meats were juicy, flavourful, still hot when it arrived at the table, not overcooked or undercooked. They ordered the chicken wings w/ sticky rice, grilled chicken and the grilled pork from the tasting platter was similarly delicious. I found the fish cakes to be just ok. My friend also ordered pho with rare beef and tripe and the soup broth was clean and super flavourful. I don't have enough pictures of the food because I was too busy eating
We had a pomelo chĆØ dessert and a coconut milk with jelly dessert and both were sweet, cold, and had a good variety of textures from the various kinds of jellies and chewy pomelo bites.
Will definitely have to come back sometime to try the bĆŗn riĆŖu.
The restaurant interior was not bad, I understood it was newly opened. Although there was a lot of traffic inside the restaurant, tables and cutlery were all clean. However, some points off for the atmosphere: -restaurant interior is uncomfortably hot if you're sitting near the windows even with the shades rolled down, I was on the end of the booth furthest from the window and the heat was strong -the women's bathroom did not smell clean -the bathroom sink was abnormally high and I'm not a short person so it doesn't seem accessible -restaurant was located in a business park instead of a plaza or near a more active part of the city and the huge empty parking lot is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited the newest Pho Anh Vu location in Newmarket and I am hooked! I was in the area searching for food around me when I stumbled across this restaurant and saw they recently opened.
This location has plenty of convenient parking and the restaurant is very spacious inside with lots of seating. The interior is aesthetically pleasing with beautiful decor.
The servers were very prompt at greeting me when I entered and allowed me to choose the table I wanted to sit at. When I sat down, they brought me a tall pitcher of chilled tea, which was refreshing as it was quite warm this day. The servers were attentive and answered my questions I had about the menu. They described their dishes which helped me decide on what to order. I was also able to meet the owner as she went around and spoke with patrons. She was very nice to me and I had a pleasant conversation with her.
As for food, I started with the spring rolls and it was delicious. They were super crispy and very hot when it got to my table. It also came with a side of sauce. I think I could eat 10 of them in one sitting. I also ordered the grilled chicken with vermicelli dish and the portion was huge. It had lots of noodles, veggies, plenty of chicken, and a sauce to pair. I finished half before getting full and took the rest home. I really enjoyed this dish and would order it again. I also had the orange juice (no sugar) and I loved it. It was cold and refreshing. It really did taste like they just squeezed it, so I would recommend this if you enjoy orange juice. Lastly for dessert, I ordered the coconut milk with jellies and it was yummy which was a nice finish to my meal.
Overall, I had a very pleasant experience at Pho Anh Vu Newmarket and will be returning again with friends and family. Although it is a long drive for me coming from Whitby, I would say itās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited this pho place and was genuinely impressed with the experience from start to finish. Right when I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome by the staff. The service was very niceāattentive, polite, and respectful throughout my meal. It really added to the overall enjoyment of the visit.
The pho itself was excellent. The broth was rich, flavorful, and clearly simmered with care. The noodles were cooked just right, and the portion was generous. The meat was tender and fresh, and the herbs and toppings provided on the side were also crisp and plentiful. Definitely one of the better pho soups I've had in the area.
The restaurant has a clean and comfortable atmosphere. The ambiance was relaxed and peaceful, which made it an easy place to enjoy a quiet lunch. The decor was simple but tasteful, and the space was well-maintained.
Another big plus was the parkingāthereās lots of it, and itās free, which made the whole trip hassle-free. Thatās something I always appreciate when dining out.
Overall, I highly recommend this pho spot for anyone looking for a quality bowl of pho in a clean, relaxing setting with genuinely kind service. Iāll definitely be...
