I have been ordering from take sushi for years. Hands down was my favourite sushi place. Fresh, amazing flavour, good portion size. I order here a few times a month. The past few times, the sushi had no flavour, rolls were tiny with barely anything in them, and the recipes were different. I decided to call to ask if they changed owners and they have. The new owners must be cheaping out and the rolls are terrible. I would prefer grocery store sushi to be honest. For anyone who loves this place like I do, sadly it’s not the same. The photo I added to this review shows how little is in the roll. The spicy tuna just had a slab of tuna in it with a pound of sloppy mayo on top.

Sushi was fresh, delicious with a well balanced ratio of ingredients. Everything was perfect in the order. Received some gyoza on the house to my Uber eats order which was a pleasant surprise! We bring our sushi boat to get sushi on it for birthdays and celebrations. The sushi is fresh, they always throw something in on the house and we love everything about them!

Updating 3 years later. Same amazing quality and we had a great Father’s Day dinner this last weekend. 3 years ago - Always our absolute favourite takeout sushi! We bring our sushi boat to get sushi on it for birthdays and celebrations. The sushi is fresh, they always throw something in on the house and we love everything about them!

I ordered thru uber eats. Big difference between quality and quantity of food when ordering thru them vs going directly and picking up. First off you get more for your money if you go in. They are very pleasant. I have ordered from them a handful of times and you can tell they like what they do. Tonight was the first time I ordered thru uber eats. I live about 15 mins away but it took over 1 hr to deliver I’m sure that was uber’s fault. But my miso soup was still hot when I got it. I ordered over $100 worth of food, usually my bag is packed with food, not so this time. Their wakame salad and one of their maki sets looked like it was bought from a grocery store not restaurant made. I ordered a crunch roll which is very tasty but it was huge and fell apart way before I got it to the sauce let alone in my mouth. Kani salad was awesome. I think they should get bigger portions for tempura sauce. Nevermind, woke up at 4 am in the morning sick. Which really shouldn’t happen to me, I don’t eat anything raw and everything else has rice. I won’t be ordering...

This is the ideal pit stop for AMAZING sushi. You definitely need to try it for yourself to experience the exceptional food here @ Take Sushi.

Take Sushi is a gem in Newmarket. Totally unexpected by looking at it from outside but when you try the food you will be amazed at how delicious and fresh the food is.

They carry Appetizes Bento Rice Tempura Noodles Noodle Soups Rolls Hand rolls A la carte Sushi & Maki set Sashimi & sushi set as well as Party Platters

5 Stars for sure! I will definitely go back again. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for high end sushi at a reasonable price $$ point.
