Wow, where do I start... it was our first time here and so we wanted to try a little bit of this and that and we were delighted with everything we ordered. The service was excellent and the server made us feel welcome and comfortable. We received fresh bread, butter, oil and vinegar as well as daily soup, that alone was the best start for what we ordered, superb and all completely. Oysters were fresh and yummy and the appetizer of the day was smoked salmon salad, it was absolutely fantastic and left us wanting more! We also ordered duck linguine and ravioli truffle porcini that sent me back in time to my grandmothers cooking, Bravo! We finished of with tartuffo affocato to share WOW ...and our journey was slowly coming to an end.... for this time. Sincerely looking forward to our next visit

One of the most unique and authentic experiences I've ever had. The company I work for had a Christmas party here and I had no clue what I was truly in for. The atmosphere is extremely inviting and cozy and the staff were phenomenal and very attentive. The appetizers were fresh and delicious! Next came the cocktails (amazing!). After we had settled in, we were invited to participate in fresh pasta making, which was (in my opinion) one of the most satisfying parts of this experience because I was extremely nervous about that aspect of the night but it turned into one of the best parts. I would highly recommend this same experience or even just dining here. Truly a 10/10.

Great local Italian restaurant on the historical edge of Niagara Falls. Decor was tastefully done and the establishment was clean. The food was very good put I found the portions were a tad on the small side. The waitress we had was a little inattentive given she only had 2 tables during an off day lunch service, but she was polite and professional. This restaurant is a little on the pricey side, but the quality in the preparation was present. Lunch for 2 cost us about $100 for main course, dessert and coffee each. Definitely worth a try when visiting the falls and if you want to try a long standing local restaurant.

Interesting experience tonight at Casa Mia. My friend and I had made reservations for 5:30 pm thinking we would be experiencing “happy hour” followed by dinner. Apparently happy hour only applies to the bar area. Okay, understandable although not fully explained when making a reservation. We moved on as it wasn’t a huge deal. Ordered cocktails followed by appetizers and then mains plus a bottle of wine. Food and service were fine…nothing spectacular. I question $36 for cannelloni but it was well cooked. My friend’s pasta order came with the incorrect pasta but again we let it slide. Server never apologized for the error even though my friend did point out the mistake. Also, apparently the restaurant was unable to provide a decaf cappuccino. Not that difficult at most restaurants. The interesting part occurred after we had just paid our bill. We were still finishing our wine when our server approached and said that someone wanted our table. Excuse me? I had seen this person (blue suit jacket) walk through the dining area a few minutes prior to our server approaching us. Did they have a reservation? Did they know someone and therefore feel entitled to the table? There were plenty of tables available but we were sitting in a booth which this person clearly felt they were entitled to. Whatever the reason, it was completely inappropriate for the server to request we vacate our table when we had spent $200+ during our meal. If it was that important, the server should have asked us to move to the bar and maybe offer a free cocktail for our trouble. But no…just “someone wants this table”. I have worked at a high end Niagara restaurant and I understand reservations can overlap but when that happens, apologies are made and a free drink or liquor is offered as compensation. Would the server have asked two men to vacate the table or did he feel two women wouldn’t argue back? Whatever the rationale, it left a bad taste for both of us. Keep in mind, both of us dine out fairly regularly and now Casa Mia will not our restaurant of choice. We have also attended events at Terramia (a separate entity but advertise their connection to Casa Mia) and this treatment will definitely make us re-think attending any further events. Was it worth it for this restaurant to treat two women with less respect than two men? They have now lost future business from both of us and we will also not hesitate to advise friends to find somewhere else to spend their money. With the high cost of dining out these days, it’s unfortunate that a restaurant would choose to alienate two diners on a Friday evening when the restaurant was not even full. Overall a very poor...

My wife and I had dinner here today. We had a really nice waiter named Andrew. It didnt look that busy when we came in around 715pm. We got the date night menu which looked good for the price. It wasnt vegetarian friendly and our waiter made a joke about showing my wife the door for being vegetarian. Normally a joke like that could be laughed off but his tone wasn't the best and she felt discriminated. The risotto was garnished with prosciutto he ensured that he could make the risotto vegetarian friendly. After andrew took our order I think it took about 20 mins to bring out the bruschetta. It was cold and bland. It took another 20 to get it cleared off the table. We each got a salad, and my wife got the Caprese which our waiter did not tell us was an up charge. Salad was really good but we noticed a bunch of tables without food and noticed a trend this night. Slow service. No one came to clear off tables that had left or check if we were okay. A busser came by and I just asked her if the kitchen was busy. She gave me a lot of sass and told us the place was busy and the food would be out shortly. 20 mins later we got our food. From the time we sat down to our mains it was about 80 to 90 minutes. The food was warm but nothing special. The chicken parmigiana was not anything great, little bland to be honest. We decided to skip dessert as it would have taken too long and we wanted to get going. We asked for the bill and I noticed the charge for the upgraded salad to which I asked Andrew about since he never mentioned the extra charge before. He told me he asked the manager to get it waived since we skipped dessert but the manager was "not in a good mood". I felt bad for not tipping Andrew, but I was just fed up. Maybe it was an off day. We were told it was busy but it didnt look like it. Either way there should have been a higher standard. We should not have to wait over an hour for our main items and we should have been checked on. Disappointing given the reviews but...

We were in Niagara for a stag party on Saturday night and all decided on this restaurant because of the ratings and menu options. What a mistake! I'll start by saying we were a group of 6 so nothing out of the ordinary. Our waiter, who's name I think was Domenic, was probably the worst server I've ever had interaction with in my life. Rude, obnoxious and sarcastic to a point that was humiliating. To summarize, the meal took about 2.5 hrs from start to finish. Domenic had to be asked about the daily specials and when asked he couldn't tell us what the specials were, I think he said something to the effect of chicken and something pasta? Then deflected and said he'd have to check... Totally unacceptable when you're paying top dollar for Italian food. In fact, I've had better service in an East Side Mario's than this place. He didn't once ask us how our food was after dropping it off and we actually had to ask another server to get our bill because he was nowhere to be found after dropping off our mains. This was all after waiting about 2 hrs to get the food. Then when I tipped him 10%, he had the audacity to say and I quote "10%? WOW!" to my face. I've worked in the service industry for over 20 years and never in my wildest dreams would think of saying that to a paying customer. The list of things that were not satisfactory about this restaurant and our experience are too long to list but the food was mediocre at best and the service was just plain old unacceptable. I would never step foot in this establishment again and I would strongly recommend you don't either. They don't deserve to be in business after that display of customer service. ...
