I was visiting Almonte for the first time with my family, and we decided to check out this place as it had great reviews. As soon as we entered, The smell in this establishment was so strong. We almost turned back out. It was something my husband commented on immediately and I myself was fighting really hard to ignore it. Regardless, we went up to the counter to browse the menu and see what options this place had in store…again since we had never been there, husband was asking the lady at the counter (short, brown lady) some some of the best sellers/what was good. He asked her opinion on an item and she had a rather “annoying Gen Z look and tone” about her, making my husband feel awkward about asking if it was good or not. Didn’t bother giving any genuine recommendations for us to go off of so we just picked something random. I had also tried the pumpkin spice gelato and the after taste was unfortunately disgusting even though I was intrigued by the flavor initially. We sat down for a couple of minutes, no warning about the chocolate gelato being so strong in taste we could barely finish it. It was like 90% cacao. I had maybe two spoons of the chocolate gelato and a couple of the pumpkin spice before I threw it out. Went back in the car told my husband we’re never coming back here again, what a disappointment not sure where the five stars are coming from. Lack of good...
Read moreWe stopped by this coffee shop on our way back to Toronto — and I’m so glad we did! The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a calming vibe and a beautifully designed space that feels both cozy and refreshing. It’s the kind of atmosphere where you actually want to slow down, sip your coffee, and just enjoy the moment.
Toronto needs more places like this — somewhere you can just walk in, order peacefully, and either take your drink to go or sit and relax. There’s even outdoor seating, which makes it a perfect spot for warmer days.
The interior is very well laid out with stylish decor, though it does give off the feeling of a newer shop with shelves still filling in — which I actually liked, because it adds to the charm and makes it feel fresh.
Service was excellent. The lady at the counter was so kind and patient, walking me through all the options and making sure I got exactly what I wanted. I ordered a regular iced latte, and it was prepared quickly — and tasted fantastic. You can tell they care about quality, even if I’m not sure where the beans are sourced from.
Overall, this coffee shop is a hidden gem. Highly recommend stopping by — I hope it grows and gets the recognition...
Read moreNice little corner spot in an overcrowded plaza. Very small inside with three booths. But coffee was good. Got a drip roast. Super nice they had free honey and a honey flavoring syrup with no upcharge. Female barista was pleasant and cheerful. Drip coffee wasn’t really hot enough. Should’ve asked her to steam it but it’s okay. Still great. Thanks much! Good vibes. She was Positive and easy to talk to. As a barista should be. (Previous barista myself) I’m from out of town. We drove all the way from Clifton hill to find a local cafe. Would recommend a loyalty card or...
