I stopped by Weko Sushi on my way through Niagara Falls and ordered sushi to go. I have had a lot of sushi from many different places and Weko blew me away. Not only was the sushi fresh and well packaged, it was also so dang good.

I am a huge fan of Salmon. I ordered a spicy salmon roll, salmon sashimi and salmon sushi. I started with the sashimi which is always how I anticipate how the rest of my order will be. Not only was it buttery and melt-in-your-mouth but it tasted wonderful. The sushi definitely took it to another level.

I don’t know what magic they’re working on the rice but it was the perfect texture.

The spicy salmon roll took the cake. Where other restaurants add other ingredients to the roll or make the roll tiny to save money, Weko makes one of the best spicy salmon rolls I have ever had. Not only is there no filler in the roll, they evenly mix the salmon and spicy mayo and put that into the roll, where most places I have been either put the spicy mayo on top of the roll, or add it to the roll like it’s a piece of cucumber.

The way Weko makes their spicy salmon sushi, every bite of that larger than average roll has the same flavour and texture; whether you eat the sushi in one bite or two.

They also provided this packet of Wasabi, which I’m fairly certain was the real deal. I have never been to Japan to be certain I know what real wasabi tastes like, however I have eaten plenty of the horseradish knock off, and regardlesss of real or fake, whichever brand Weko carries is superior to every wasabi I have ever been served before. It is spicy, but elevates the sushi and fish in an immense and balanced way.

Onto the service. When I walked in the door I was greeted by the woman working. Not only was she friendly but when I asked to take a picture of the walls in their restaurant she was more than willing to duck out of the way so my picture was clear. She showed me their large order branded takeout boxes which were so stylish and pleasant to look at. The Sushi Chef behind the counter also greeted me. My order was packed carefully and thoughtfully in a paper to go bag, sealed with chopsticks and soy sauce, wasabi and ginger.

The vibe of the restaurant was upscale despite the affordable (to me anyway) price point. It was clean, every table was uniform, the decorations and aesthetic were to die for, and it felt like I was looking at pictures of a sushi place in Japan, not standing in Niagara Falls.

Overall I can’t say enough to describe how wonderful this place is and I’ve only been once and didn’t even eat in the restaurant. Wonderful wonderful service and food. I hope next time I find myself in Niagara Falls that I’ll have the opportunity to sit down and try some more menu items and enjoy the atmosphere. In fact I might “find myself in Niagara” just so I have an excuse to...

Worst service I have ever had! Stopped here because it had a 4.9 review, Sunday May 18, 3:00 ish. Never greeted but a young lady waved her arms from the back of the restaurant, we interpreted that to “sit anywhere”. Maybe 12+ patrons in the restaurant. Young lady comes to our table, no hello but there was a scowl. Said “all you can eat buffet?” I asked can we order al la carte. She left without a word. Returned, again silence and smacked the dishes on the table and pushed them, then left. 30 seconds she returns to ask what we want to drink? I asked do you have Saki? She looked like she had never heard the word, repeated it a few times, said she didn’t know what it was, then no, left again. Returned 30 seconds later to take our order, I asked for some more time, she huffed and left.. then we left also. Don’t know if the food is any good but the service was one of the worst I had ever experienced. Will never go back. Went to Wind restaurant had excellent...

My parents, today, had a bad experience when they went for the first time. The reason was because they ordered a sushi roll and waited for almost an hour because they “lost” their ticket. They told the server that it was our first time, yet she still decided to give them horrible treatment. Their server is a girl who is Asian with glasses, and it seems like the staff are barely interactive and they give you the cold shoulders. I am really disappointed with the service because they had high expectations since it was recommended by a friend, and as someone who has gone their often and received good service, but i’ve experienced the same server who has given me horrible service as well. I hope Weko can train their staff to give better service and to be...

Ordered the 18 piece sashimi for delivery on UberEats and 6 of the pieces was imitation crab. That’s 1/3rd of the order. Such a rip off. Update: ordered a party tray and included a note to not have any imitation crab (although why should this be necessary) and it was pretty good. Really great value for the amount we got and it was prepared relatively quick. Aburi sushi could be torched a bit longer and oshizushi could be pressed more because it just fell apart every time. The rolls kind of blended and tasted similar after awhile. I would order again when I’m with a big group though cause of the value.

The food was mild, in the photo beef and mushrooms item was dry up and over cooked . The beef skewer was also dry up, Chicken fried rice was also dry too. The raw sashimi some of them was fresh and some wasn’t .Customers Service was terrible, they had 3 servers walking around with 6 tables of customers include our party . Very slow service. It’s took 15mins to get our tea. Dining area was well kept and clean. Here’s my question how does it get 5 star review from others “by friends” hyping it up. Need to be honest on the review .
