I don't normally find myself in Niverville as I live in Blumenort, but my Husband and I recently switched Doctors from our GP in Winnipeg to a new GP in Niverville. Today was our first sit-down consultation. A lot more close and convenient for us 🙂
After our appointment my Husband asked if I was hungry and suggested that we go to Chicken Chef because he really enjoyed a certain salad he had there before. Some kind of pineapple chicken salad… ?
I personally have never eaten at a Chicken Chef before and I'm always up for new food. So I said, "For sure, let's go."
First impression was that the decor was a little dated, but it's a small town. It was clean, cozy and quiet and you don't need anymore than that when it comes to a relaxing atmosphere.
We encountered 2 servers and both were friendly, kind and courteous with big smiles. Very welcoming.
Price point was reasonable for what you're getting; fair pricing 💸💸
I ordered the buffalo chicken burger (crispy) with onion rings. I was disappointed as I thought I was getting a breaded chicken breast smothered/tossed in buffalo sauce.
There was only a little bit of ranch sauce on the bottom bun with a breaded chicken breast with nothing on it (Maybe they forgot the buffalo sauce?) I'm not sure as I have never dined here before.
Still very good, though. The bun was soft with a slight crisp. The lettuce and tomato were freshly cut.
The onions rings were delicious! I prefer onion rings over fries wherever I go, so I'm very happy there's an option.
My husband ordered the Pineapple chicken salad in a bread bowl with a side of onion rings. It looked delicious!
Thank you for a lovely experience. Will definitely dine in again.
Was the buffalo sauce forgotten or is there just spicy seasoning on the...
Read moreI'd like to give a better review, but... We usually order from the Lorette location, but my husband was driving through Niverville and we decided to give it a try for his birthday supper. Originally tried ordering on the mobile app, but it would not let me specify "no wings" in our Jumbo Bucket, which we always do using the app when we order from Lorette. So I called in the order, and the very polite gentleman said that would be no problem. Paid for the order, came home, and found 4 wings in the bucket. We hate wings! Also, the fries were just sitting loose in a paper bag that was so saturated with grease that the bags shredded when I took them out of the bigger bag (luckily I had noticed and had a big dish ready for that). Called to let them know they had given us the wings that we specifically asked not to have. Guy was polite, said he was sorry and promised it would never happen again. Again? We will not be going to this location a second time. Very disappointed. When you order fast food take out, it should be made to order, or should be replaced (we spent $100). To be fair, the chicken, fries, coleslaw, and gravy were good. Buns were cold and hard (Lorette always...
Read moreThe utmost worst dining experience of my life! After seating, both waitresses noticed us. Understandably we waited patiently as one worked the cash register and the other cleared the tables of those leaving. Restaurant was nearly empty at this point when 2 other tables seated themselves after we did. We had to serve our own coffee and beg for cream. Both tables who walked in after our table had their orders taken first and were served promptly yet waitresses seemed to enjoy making small talk with the other customers rather pay any attention to our table. I ordered mashed potatoes and gravy. This is all made ready to serve...yet I was not served. I went up to the register and requested to speak to the manager and was told the manager was not available. I'm sorry to say but I walked out due to the rude and poor customer service. I will no longer return to this location unless they replace their serving staff. This happened Friday 12th of July. Check your footage and watch for yourself. I also posted to the Niverville page and your server made up lies about the whole situation. RECOMMEND NOBODY DINE HERE! p.s....
