Dined in recently for the first time and thought they were okay. 2.5/5 is my rating. I think if people are drinking, it makes it easier to forget about the sub par food, very small portions, and high prices. Service is good though.
Hubby ordered the burger and fries and said it was OK - Burger World, Montana's, East Side Mario's, and Cecil's were far superior he said. Hubby said burger here was not good enough to come back for. I ordered the fried chicken burger and mashed potatoes with gravy and was very disappointed. The chicken patty tasted like it was fried in fish oil and was overall, a below average sandwich (due to the strong fishy taste). I had ordered mashed potatoes and gravy as the side and my plate came out with fries. After sending it back, my plate came back out within 5 minutes containing mashed potatoes that tasted like it was made with dirty sink water and instant potatoes. I didn't finish my meal. The mashed potatoes were inedible. In addition, the portions are very small for the price.
The service was good - friendly staff and no wait time to get to a table (had made a reservation via email). My issue is primarily with the kitchen and the food; NOT the servers. The servers were great. Servers were friendly, kind, and pleasant to interact with. Wait time was a little long, but there was only one girl servicing an entire area on her own, and I applaud her hard work.
Overall, I will not be back - there are WAY BETTER restaurants in town. I do not recommend this place for their prices and poor quality food. It was NOT terrible, but not good enough to bring me back. I did not like my dining experience and it was not worth the $80 bill...
Read moreOn the 12th of July around 11 at night me and a friend were finally finished moving into my new apartment around the corner and I wanted to reward him for helping me all day, we were exhausted and just wanted a good meal. My friend who's a medical pot smoker went all day without it so he could drive us to move my stuff, so he lit one up on our walk over to Casey's. He put it out right before entering the building because he needs pot to have an appetite, he's prescribed for this reason. Well after the host had sat us down and we were both starving from moving all day, the waitress asked us what we'd like to drink and I ask for a cocktail and my friend asked for chocolate milk and they said sure and went to go get it. When they came back we were told we could not be served because we smelt of marijuana and I figured it was the alcohol I ordered so I asked for root beer instead and they said they couldn't serve us at all because and I quote "we can't prove if we served you alcohol or not" have you ever heard of a receipt? You know that piece of paper that shows what you paid for? I think it might have even been discrimination because my friend is prescribed marijuana and should be able to enter the enter the restaurant after taking his medication.
It too bad because the restaurant is just around the corner from my house and would've been a good place to eat and get a drink after a long day of work however I will not...
Read moreWhen I met my fiance, 7 years ago we used to go to Casey’a every single Wednesday after class. It was our little tradition. We had some terrible experiences with a couple servers and stopped going. 7 years later we went back for old times sake to celebrate - we sat where we used to sit back in the day and waited about 10-15 minutes. The servers walked by us and ignored us. At one point he went to use the washroom and one of the servers came to my table. She said she remembered me and where we used to sit. I was excited and responded with a big smile, this is where our relationship started and wanted to celebrate. She replied with yeah, I remember you- you had issues with me and another server and you left us a bad review that was fake. I said okay.. this was 7 years ago and I haven’t been here since. She said she knew that and stared at me, I asked if I wasn’t allowed there? I was confused. She replied I was allowed there but she wasn’t going to serve me. I replied okay, will someone else serve us? She said she would ask around and rolled her eyes. She was extremely rude and this was very uncalled for- it has been 7 YEARS and I don’t even remember what the issue was ? We ended up having to leave as I felt extremely uncomfortable- especially as she waited for me to be by myself to confront me. Terrible service, extremely unprofessional. Staff seem miserable...
