COBS Bread — Restaurant in North Bay

I am truly beyond impressed by the North Bay COBS Bread! The food and baked goods are delicious - I would highly recommend the scones and the croissants. The prices are quite reasonable when you factor in the freshness, and quality ingredients.

But the staff and their commitment to our community is my favourite aspect about this organization. Everyone is incredibly friendly, personable, and seem genuinely happy to be there. Today, a gentleman brightened my day with his humour and then made sure I took advantage of my birthday treat through their rewards program. Additionally, they are constantly giving back to our community by donating to those in need and supporting other local businesses and events.

I recently visited my brother and his family and was introduced to COBS when we stopped to get some bread. I had been on a scone-kick the week before and had been so disappointed with the hockey pucks my grocery passed off as scones. Imagine my delight when I saw the scones in the display case at COBS. Huge scones! So many choices. I had to bring home 2 of each - my current faves being the iced pumpkin and the double chocolate.

I also had the opportunity to try the baguettes and the farmers bread - both soooo good.

When I left north Bay to head home I stopped and loaded up. Imagine my surprise when I was told there was a COBS in my town! As it turns out, right around the corner from me! How did I not know that? No more hockey pucks for scones...

This place is not only consistent in their quality of product but also their customer service. The scones, Danish's, buns and loafs are always fresh and full of taste. My recommendation would be the Apple pie scone however they do sell out fast so go early or order ahead. The staff is polite, professional, and patient even when your undecisive. They give good recommdations and always have a little sampler on the counter. The only thing missing I would like to see here is coffee and tea. Scones pair great with a hot wake-me-up/warm-me-up beverage in the morning and help turn any day into a good day...
