AMAZING AND DELICIOUS FOOD, GREAT PORTIONS, GREAT PRICES, EXCELLENT SERVICE, AND INCREDIBLE RESTARAUT TO SATISFY YOUR INDIAN CUISINE CRAVINGS!!! I love this place and I'll keep coming back!
October 10, 2025: visited again and enjoyed another delicious meal! Fantastic prices and portion sizes, food tastes fresh and yummy, and comfortable dining experience with friendly staff. See new pics I added. Dishes are presented beautifully. They also have a display with really pretty desserts! Don't ever leave North Bay, Sukhdev!!! ❤️
Sept 2025: First time trying this place today and they were AMAZING! I highly recommend and I'll be back for sure! EXCELLENT place to dine for your Indian cuisine cravings and good prices!
I saw on Facebook that they were offering fall specials for dine in, so I thought I'd give them a try for lunch and order a little extra to bring home leftovers as dinner. I ordered the butter chicken fall special ($12), chicken biriyani fall special ($10), and spicy chicken noodle appetizer ($11.99). See pics - all that food was under $35! After taxes and tip, it was only $45! No other restaraut gives you this much quality food for the price. These tasty leftovers will last me a few days.
There was a 30-45 wait for all of the food to come out, but it was well worth it. The chef's work was outstanding. Portions were great and all of the dishes tasted freshly prepared and delicious. Each entree was presented elegantly in a beautiful dish and was garnished.
The service was friendly and atmosphere had a great vibe. There was nice Indian style music playing and the restaraut overall looked very clean with high quality furniture pieces and decor. There were a few other guests and they all seemed to be enjoying their meals as well. On my way out, a worker thanked me for my visit and said I'm welcome back anytime. That was some superior customer service and that felt great to hear!
I am thoroughly impressed with my visit today. I absolutely plan to visit again and an excited to try their other dishes. AMAZING place to dine for authentic Indian cuisine. This place is a new gem! 5/5.
Incredible place!
My only complaints (which are minor nit picks) are:
Still a great place that I'll be...
Read moreThe AC wasn’t working — it was over 30°C outside, and it felt just as hot inside. The server didn’t even know the basics of what was on the menu and wiped her hands on her pants right in front of us! I gave her a couple of appetizer options, but nothing we asked for was available. So we switched to the main course. I asked her what goes into a mixed parantha — she looked completely confused, and after what felt like an eternity, she said “onion, garlic, and coriander.”
(Indians will understand — a proper mixed parantha usually includes a mix of onion, cauliflower, paneer, green chillies, and sometimes potato.)
My boyfriend ordered the kachori, which was soaked in oil instead of being filled with onion and potatoes. When I squeezed a small piece, oil literally dripped out of it. I ordered the Delhi Di Chaat — and honestly, I have no idea which part of Delhi this recipe came from! It was overly sweet, dry, and just… disappointing.
What made the experience even more frustrating was that every time we asked about a dish, her answer was the same: “Let me go and ask.” We believe asking questions about the menu is our right as customers, but since she had to go inside to get answers for even the simplest things, it felt like we were burdening her by just asking.
Usually, when we order basic North Indian food from here, it’s decent. But there’s absolutely no professionalism. Please learn what service actually means.
No vibe, no hygiene. We were out on a Saturday night date, and I’m honestly regretting the decision to come here.
We may not be Canadian, but every time we go to a Canadian restaurant, the vibe and service are wonderful. You can even ask for modifications to your dish — because the servers there actually know the menu and how to adapt it to your taste and preferences.
I know there aren’t many options in North Bay for Indian food, but we are definitely not...
Read moreIf you have any allergies, don't go. I'm currently writing this while in the hospital after an anaphylactic reaction.
I went a month ago and like I always do, I ask about tree nuts and they said no. I then ate some curry and chicken and didn't feel good so I asked them to check again and she went back to the chef and said no nuts at all. I then went home, threw it all up, took some medicine and called it a day not thinking it was my allergy because they said no twice.
We went back today for the buffet (with the same friend) and same thing. I stopped eating and took some Claritin. We asked if they could see if nuts were used and she said no but would check with the chef. She came back and said only this dish and this dish had cashews. We said I was deadly allergic and she said she could ask them to make it again with a different sauce and I declined. She mentioned that if we would have told her when we were seated she would have told us which dishes but my friend and I both were pretty sure she was the same one as last time.
I'll admit it was my fault for not asking again this time and it's not law for them to label the dishes or mention ingredients and my fault for not checking dishes beforehand. I will mention I've been to many Indian restaurants in town (Amritsari Bites, Oak East Fusion) and no issues ever.
I think it was a language barrier and not understanding the severity of the situation but I would appreciate better food labeling (I ate mango chicken and assumed no nuts) or better accountability.
Aside from that, we were given 1 water each and took a random pitcher because the waitress only came back once. I can't comment on the food obviously but it wasn't an amazing experience and I'm too scarred from this one to return again.
I hope they learn from this and people with allergies are extra...
