Harvey's — Restaurant in North Bay

Had lunch at Swiss Chalet next door & went to get a diet coke with ice at Harvey's for my friends boss. The girl told us they didn't have any ice. I said to her they gave us ice in our water at Swiss Chalet. I asked her if it was possible for her to go get some from them. She looked at me like I'd asked the world of her. She went with a cup and got 1/2 a glass, maybe the 2 restaurants (who share a kitchen) don't get along? She put a little ice in the cup and filled it. No interaction from her like here you go or have a nice day or thanks for the suggestion just gave us the coke in a rude manor without a good bye or anything. We walked over to get a straw & I mentioned we should tell the manager and another employee there under her breath said she IS the MANAGER! I actually laughed....thinking where did customer service go?? I was in the industry for over 30 years and never was rude over something so silly. My gf with me also in the service industry for many years. We chuckled and then felt sorry for the other employees because she wasn't a very nice girl. Was served by Annabelle, and she was very attentive to the staff and customers. was busy when I got there, she was running around, from taking drive-thru orders and packing orders in the back while helping put the toppings on burgers. This employee will no doubt be running the place soon. I thought she was a supervisor or manager because of the way she helped everyone all around. I even witnessed Annabelle offer skip/doordash drivers fountain drinks for being patient while waiting for the orders, making them less aggravated and annoyed at the wait time. I've never been more impressed by a fast food employee going above and beyond to make sure things go smoothly. this employee was very fast to recognize the needs of the people around and she was fast to respond to their needs. I have read many of the reviews for your establishment, this employee has been mentioned more than once, seriously consider promoting her, or getting her a raise before she gets scouted out by another business. I arrived near closing, and I was helped expediently while the staff completed their shutdown and cleanup. The food was as fresh as any other day, and I'm certain of this because I watched the man at the grill putting it on. While I ate in the dining area, the staff went about their duties without bothering me in any way — in fact, they made me feel very welcome and we shared a few laughs over their friendly banter as they cleaned the place up in no time. I neglected to note anyone's names, but the young woman managing clearly had great rapport with her staff and maintained a positive and friendly atmosphere that I could feel from when I walked in! I only visit this location on occasion, but I imagine I'll stop in again soon after this experience!
