A&W is a little more pricey than your average fast food chain but you do it once in awhile for the onion rings, and the burgers are just a little bit better.
I ordered a double teen burger with coke and an onion ring, it comes to $17 something. The young kid that took my order in the “drive thru” sounded annoyed. Missed the little (big) things like “thank you, please pull ahead to the window” but whatever. The wait was reasonable because you expect a higher quality. He hands me my bag, tells me to have a good day and I drive off. I have an hours drive ahead of me and I’m going to eat while I drive and try not to make a mess. Quickly noticed that most of the onion rings were all mushed together and missing more batter than normal. but whatever. I go and grab my burger and right away saddened because it’s just a teen burger. I’m fat and I’m hungry and now I’m sad! but whatever. I take a bite and something is just a little “bleh”. It’s an eff’ing beyond meat! I go to check the receipt but he didn’t do that right either but it says beyond meat on the wrapper and it don’t taste like any burger I’ve had before… Jesus, could they not get anything right tonight? I reach for my drink to wash down the fake burger and it’s low on syrup and tastes like soda water… I should have ate a carrot and went for a jog! Would have been a...
Read moreI have worked customer service my while life and can honestly say I've never had an experience like this before. I work long hours and I understand that at the end of the day it can be frustrating to get a client 15 minutes before close... That being said you should still take the order with the same respect as any other customer would get. Having to repeat myself is one thing but then have to listen to the staff talk trash about me while I wait for my food in the car is another. I couldn't believe how they were behaving. I was obviously very upset about this and quickly grabbed my food when it came informing the server that the windows were not sound proof. After all this I drive home and realize that after having asked for their beyond burger with lettuce wrap as I always do because of my food allergies they gave me a burger in a teen burger bag as well as my husband's so who know which is which and with a regular bun that I can't eat because I have celiac. This was a lovely end to my 10 hour shift and clearly just how I wanted to end my day. I would definitely NEVER rexomrecomend this establishment and won't be returning. Which is sad because A&W has great food and they offer a good selection for people with food allergies and...
Read moreTerrible experience, unfortunately, today at A&W restaurant at Kemptville location. We visited around 2:30PM to order kids meals. We ordered one plain burger (no ketchup) and one regular. The associate who processed our order was friendly at first. She specified which box contained just plain burger and which had regular. When kids opened boxes both had regular burger and no plain burger at all. One of our kids doesn’t not eat any sauces, that’s why we ordered plain. When my husband returned to change burger for plain, the the same associate became annoyed and talked to my husband as it was his fault she made a mistake. She said:”why would you say plain and regular?” Well, not sure how else we could specify.. Also she herself pointed out which box had plain burger and which had regular. It seemed she was very clear on order’s details at the beginning. To top this off she gave our new burger to a different family and lady gave it back to my husband. Seriously??? Associate mentioned she was new on a job, she definitely needs a proper customer service training. It’s ok to make mistakes, no worries at all. However to be rude about it after and make a customer feel at fault is not ok. Not...
