Thai Express Kemptville — Restaurant in North Grenville

The food was fine, although what I was given didn't seem like what was described to me.

The staff was pleasant and friendly.

My main criticism is that the place ... tables and bathrooms ... were disgusting. I first went into the single bathroom ... which the staff had obviously been using ... and decided that it was too gross for me to use.

When I went into the "family" bathroom, it wasn't much cleaner.

None of the tables had been wiped down. There was no clean place to eat.

I had just gone through chemo treatment and would be considered someone with a compromised immune system. This was someplace I did not want to be, but I was there with a friend, and we really didn't have anywhere else to go.

It also left me somewhat leery about the meat they used in my food. If the rest of the restaurant is that dirty and unkempt, I don't have any confidence that they're storing food correctly or safely.

This experience doesn't mean I won't use other Thai Express locations. The others I've been to were impeccable. Just...

Placed an online order for pickup. On getting home, we found that our orders were pathetically lacking. I ordered red curry with chicken, extra sauce, and broccoli. It was yellow curry, not red, with barely any sauce to cover the vegetables and only a few slices of broccoli stem, no heads. The chicken was so rubbery I could barely chew it, so I ended up removing it. My husband's pad see ew was laden with fish sauce, and he also only got broccoli stem slices instead of whole broccoli. I see images from other reviewers of dishes with actual full broccoli pieces, so this doesn't seem to be the norm and I'm not thrilled that we got shafted. Both of our dishes were supposed to be spicy but were very mild. The only decent item was the egg rolls, but the packet plum sauce provided is lackluster. I’ve been to this location a few times and the food is always really great!

I went in tonight, closer to closing time (about 8:15) and ordered 2 meals. When I got home, we noticed a few problems with both of the meals which was quite upsetting. However, when I called in to the restaurant to report the problems, the woman on the phone was so kind and understanding and solved the problem right away!

She made the situation better without hesitation which is why my review remains 5 stars! Mistakes happen, and how a company handles them is very important!
