Small but mighty restaurant. It was busy! Warm inside, but it was all part of the ambiance and experience.
We love finding small down gems that are better than expected. We were greeted, sat where we liked, offered drink and menus.
We ordered grilled club sandwich with fries and a breakfast special. Sorry, no photos! The grilled chicken club sandwich platter was plenty more than I could handle. All the fixings were fresh, lettuce, tomato, grilled chicken, mayo and bacon. Hubby's breakfast was great! Eggs, bacon, sausage and toast with dollar fries - but ate off my plate as mine were preferred, and homefries were sold out!
Oh, the coffee was fresh and light. Our waitress must have taken a break when we were leaving, but we really though she was pretty awesome.
Possible she owns/runs it.. she said she was a "fry connoisseur" - she was spot on! (We also got a side of gravy that did not disappoint - hearty, stick-to-your fries thick). We...
Read moreWhat attracted us to go inside this little gem of a diner was that the windows were sparkling clean on a cold Fall day. Once in, we were welcomed by the staff, invited to sit where we wanted. The recommendation from the waitress was the Fast Eddie's Fried Chicken; and we've been returning often to have more! We bring our out-of-town guests there, and they are happy! A generous serving of skinless and boneless fried chicken; juicy and tender, just the right kind of crispy on the outside and the plate comes with coleslaw and fries; and it's easy to replace the fries with a fresh chef salad. The staff is always friendly, even when it's rush time. We've been there for a late breakfast on a weekday; and they were happy to prepare the EFC even if it was closer to sunrise than noon. Order what you feel like eating, the chances are good they will say yes! We were not fans of country music before, and now, we find ourselves...

This place really hits the spot if you want good, wholesome- home style food, cooked the way it used to be. The gals that serve here are friendly-a little sassy, and lots of fun. They know the menu-although its (thankfully) pretty concise . I had a potato soup last week that was very comforting on a cold snowy January day, it was thick and rich with crumbled bacon on top-excellent! My wife had a ham omelette which was served with classic home fries, it was lovely and very filling. Its a small neighbourhood joint that people keep pretty much to themselves-but check it out,its...
