The lasagna that my husband and I both had was delicious! The croutons in my Caesar salad were delicious but very big and hard. We were, however, disappointed in the ambiance. It definitely did not have the ambiance of a fine dining experience. The open concept with high ceilings - tables all in a row - no linen on tables, cutlery not laid out on the linen napkins, but rolled into the napkins like a fast food restaurant, were a disappointment. There was a nice choice of music but it was being played a little too loud. Service was efficient. The outside of the building is very bland with concrete and no greenery. We walked in and were greeted by a not at first, very friendly taller man dressed in black. Who brought us water, and never asked if we wanted anything to drink?? Then I requested an appetizer. Thankfully, as we waited (to be what seemed like forever) to have our order takin. Once the food came our reason for going special guest had to wait 5 minutes extra for her food to arrive. Once it did the sauce surrounding her lasagna was 🥶 cold. My order came with hot sausage, and I requested mild. Some of the stuffing I couldn’t put a fork in. Incredible first experience. They were completely packed when we walked in without a reservation and they moved a few things around and squeezed us in! We had cocktails, an appetizer and two mains and everything was genuinely delicious. Portions were perfect, everything was hot and the drinks were stiff. The meatloaf parmigiana was a shocking hit and very well seasoned, and the lemon piccata chicken was delicious and filling.
