After a 33 minute wait in the drive-thru line to get a couple of coffees I won't be back.
We started about 5 or 6 cars back but it was clear that something had gone wrong when the line didn't budge for 10 minutes. At that point my wife told me to jump the curb.
I am only in my 30's but back in my day working the Timmy's drive-thru we did 6 seconds / car during the rush and if my manager came in and saw anything over 20 seconds / car in the off peak he'd have been livid. Well those days aren't coming back anytime soon.
We stuck it out and finally got the coffees but there was no explanation or apology offered at the window, only complete indifference and a back turn.
A shame because we'd really warmed up to having the Tim's here on the island since it's given us a welcome treat accessibly safely and nearby plenty of times throughout the lockdowns.
I don't mind waiting the odd time but the rudeness really put a grey cloud over our day. We'll just leave the Tim's drive-thru for the tourists from now on.
Don't you just hate it when your wife is right all the time.
Updated review score as things are definitely improving over the past few visits. I did return because sometimes you just need a coffee. I hope this upward trend...
Read moreLady serving at the drive through window was rude. Rushed us through and as a result I'm missing a coffee and was given a burnt wrap.
We received part of our order and I proceeded to check the bag to make sure everything I ordered was there, as most times, this Hortons location makes mistakes. We were still waiting for our third coffee while I was checking the bag.
The server right away said we have to leave because there are vehicles waiting behind us. (Only two vehicles). I then said I'm just quickly checking to make sure it's all there and she said that she watched them make it, it's all there, get moving. My reply was a "whatever". I finished checking the food and left without my complete order.
Because she was rushing us through I'm Missing my third coffee that I paid for. And I had the delight of eating a Burnt farmers wrap. I guess she watched them burn that!
It takes 5 seconds to check the order to make sure it's correct. And if that order is incorrect, it takes 2 seconds to ask the driver to pull up. Than that order can be corrected by another server so the person managing the drive through can keep vehicles flowing.
This lady needs to go for more training or find...
Read moreThis Tim Hortons is the only one available on Manitoulin Island and is located in the Little Current area. Due to this, they have a monopoly, which can sometimes affect the service.
We visited on a busy Saturday morning for a quick breakfast before leaving the island. I ordered the Farmers Egg and Cheese wrap, which usually comes with a hash brown inside, but my order only had the egg inside the wrap with no veggies or anything else. After I mentioned this, they made me a new one. My friends also had some issues with their orders as well so it was a bummer.
On the positive side, the Mocha Ice Capp I had here was the best I've tasted compared to other Tim Hortons locations. It's also the only place with late-night service and a drive-through. Just keep in mind that during the night, there are very few options to choose from.
My only suggestion is that they could improve the service by ensuring correct orders are prepared. Overall, it's a convenient spot for a quick bite, especially if you're looking for a tasty Mocha Ice Capp, but there is room for improvement in terms of...
