Villages Pizza — Restaurant in Oak Bay

I can't speak for their regular pizza, but they advertise lactose-free cheese as an option. Unfortunately, it's either very low quality lactose-free cheese, or it's actually a vegan cheese. It melts into an unpleasant gooey/sticky texture more akin to melted plastic than melted cheese and lacks any real flavour.

The sauce is just.. Not good. It tastes very much like a generic canned sauce that you'd get from a grocery store.

The crust was good. It's soft inside with a satisfying cruncy crust and has that sort of buttery quality small town gem pizzarias often have.

I ordered the Funky chicken pizza which sounds amazing on paper. Roasted chicken and a tomato pesto sauce on a whole wheat crust, perfect. What arrived was a milky yellow circle that was hard to differentiate from the box it came in. It was so covered in cheese I could not even recognise my order.
