Today was the worst experience I have had at Stacked. I have been to this location many times and had wonderful times there. (in small groups and bigger groups). The poor treatment started from the moment I said we needed a table for 7. I had tried RSVPing on Thursday for today's gathering-to be told they dont RSVP on weekends. I was told what to do about checking the wait list before leaving my home which is what I did and there was no wait list. There are many parts and details to my complaint so will try to highlight how I explained all that when the manager was called out. From that point on it was all attitude from the wait staff and the manager herself. She took my name and number and we were told it would be 15 mins possibly before we got a table. I waited an hour before we were seated. The staff member who brought the menus/cutlery to our table as we were still at the entrance door, just stared at me and said "your table is ready"-not in a nice way or nothing like here ladies follow me to your table. Then the manager came to our table to take our order and asked if anything was wrong-so I spoke to how I felt like I was being treated like I did something wrong, like we were getting attitude, about how long we waited etc. Some of the other ladies made comments about how we felt in the way we were treated. I said other things that the manager twisted and misinterpreted. She then said she could no longer take our order and asked one of the waiters who walked by to take our order. We did order drinks but discussed how we all felt being there, the anxiety and stress we felt. We left and went to Denny's on Burloak where we were treated with such a warm, pleasant welcome by the manager Paul who was short staffed there and yet within a couple of minutes we had a table, orders taken etc. He gave me his card and said whenever we have a group outing to contact him and we would all get 15% off our meals. What an experience today. I will not be back to...
Read moreWe are late diners for breakfast usually. So there was not a wait for a table. We were shown to a table by a hostess who definitely wanted her day to be over. No greeting and no smiles. Our bench was dirty. She thought it would be best to push the crumbs to the floor with her bare arm. We asked if she could wipe it down and she did. 👍🏻. She gave us water and walked away. I observed many tables waiting for food and only two visible servers with IPads. Not a good sign.
Finally a server came. My wife requested coffee. And we ordered. We sat waiting for her coffee for 15 minutes as others were seated by the hostess and runners brought drinks to those tables. Our server came by, and said “you didn’t get your coffee?” And goes to the back. We waited again as a runner comes out filling coffees with a craft. But we don’t have a cup yet🤔.
Seeing how this has gone so far we get up and walk out as our server walks by our table. Without the coffee.
Maybe it was a bad day. But we won’t be back to find out. The location on upper middle in Oakville has things down and takes care of you...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible. This was my first time here with my family and if I could give the service a zero star, I would.
Firstly, the wait was 30 minutes long, which surprisingly isn’t the issue at stand. Once our table was ready, they sat us right in front of the door. That said, it was extremely cold throughout our entire dining experience. I understand that this can be an inevitable thing, but at the same time there were a few tables that could’ve easily been cleaned. I asked the hostess at the front if we could move tables and they said there were none available?? What comes with that is a bunch of customers were waiting at the door and were overwhelmingly crowding to our table.
Secondly, the workers didn’t seem to know what they’re doing. They missed the bread that came with of one of the meals and we had to point it out.
All in all, this was a terrible experience. I wish some sort of accommodation could have been worked out. Don’t come if you’re thinking about eating...
