Original review below had a 1-star review... thought I would update.
Things have gotten better, orders still aren't always accurate, but it feels like the staff and at this location are happier and more willing to make sure you're happy. To Tim's: Please continue to treat your staff well, train them generously and communicate often. Pay them well, give them some autonomy and decision-making power--trust them. And above all, lead by example. I've worked at enough places in the HR dept to know that company culture and staff attitude is a TOP → down thing. This includes the highest paid among you. Keep up the good work and the reviews will keep getting updated.
As is well-known, many Tim Hortons are lacking in service and quality, and this one also tends to fall into that bucket. Ordering is always a bit of a gamble..."will they put the peanut butter on or will they expect me to spread it on myself during my morning commute?" Or "Will today be the day they actually turn OFF of mental autopilot and clock watching, and remember that I said 'no cheese' ?" Latest: My Americano was a regular, my small black was filled to the brim and leaked in my car.
I notice that they are pushing for more politeness when you order, with 'please', 'thank you' and 'good morning'. Other days the person taking your order seems to hate being at work.
Hope it gets better and a more worthy...
Read moreI don’t understand what’s so hard about making a sandwich without bread, with lettuce instead. I said I’m paying for it like a regular sandwich, I’m gluten intolerant, all I asked for was to put a piece of lettuce, with all the sandwich ingredients on it and cover it with another piece of lettuce, like a SANDWICH, instead of bread. It’s really straightforward. This is ridiculous. I had to jump through hoops, talk to 3 different people, call the manager to explain what a lettuce wrap is - being denied and then asking again because this is literally a basic dietary accommodation. When they agreed, I attached a photo of what they gave me… you tell me, does this look like a sandwich? It has the lettuce.. all they needed to do (which has been done at EVERY other location other than this one) is put a piece of lettuce, ingredients, and another piece of lettuce and wrap it. I didn’t have the energy to go back and argue because everyone in there acted like they’re from a different planet and “educate” me that they don’t do this at tim hortons meanwhile I have been served in this location and others for 20+ years and always had it this way. They need to learn that clients have different needs and this was not a huge ask. I want my money back cause what the hell was I given? A BLT soup of mayo and lettuce. What...
Read moreMaking this Review for my friend. Unfortunately he has one of those phones called. iPhone. No disrespect to my friend. But I hate the stupid thing. Cant figure out how to leave a Google review on it. So, I am doing it on my android. These are my friends words. This morning I bought 3 coffees 2 cookies and a donut. My 93 year old Grandmother, asked to drink the coffee with the lid off. Half way through through the coffee ,she encountered a piece of plastic in her mouth and almost choked , coughing it out of her mouth. I went back to the store, with intentions to make the manager aware of the incident. So it wouldn't happen again. A female employee came beside the manager and started talking, stating that this plastic that, I will show you in my video, couldn't be coming from their store. She offered a refund for the coffee. I didn't accept the refund as that was NOT why , I came back .I came in hope that they would acknowledge the mistake and try to prevent it from happening again. Unfortunately The manager and the lady worker, did NOT offer an apology. I left as though there was no reassurance, this incident wouldn't happen to me or someone...
