We used to go to the Kismet Winery / Masala Bistro for awesome Indian food. With new staff, everything went downhill, thought that we would not have a place to get GOOD Indian Food.
We saw a new Indian food restaurant in Oliver and thought we would give it a try.
My wife; sister-in-law and myself went and were very happy that we did. The staff we met were great. The menu is full of very tasty dishes. We tried a couple of appetizers, Chicken Tikka Boneless for myself; Prawn Pakora for my wife and her sister. I have to say...the portions are large. I had the Butter Chicken & Keema Naan. My wife ordered the Mango Chicken & Chicken Chowmein to share. My sister-in-law had Chicken Biryani & Garlic Naan.
The food was awesome as the service. It was nice that the staff checked on us frequently to ask us if we needed anything.
If you are traveling in the area, as we came up from Oroville, WA just to try the food, you NEED to drop in and have a meal. You won't be...
Read moreFood was delicious and very reasonable pricing. My man and I really enjoyed our stuffed naan and our two curries a lot. We got chicken tikka and vindaloo. Yummy!!!
Sadly I had to take one star off because of the ambiance overall. The whole time we were there we were slapping flies away from our face. I get it. I work in the food industry too and flies are inevitable but flying by your face/mouth while you’re trying to enjoy your dinner the whole time is just too yucky to be ok with.
And while I appreciate some new “renovation” it still felt like none had happened at all inside. Not sure what I was expecting but the place felt outdated, old and messy and plus the flies… it wasn’t a good dine in experience overall. I just think it would be way better if the inside of the restaurant looks better/updated and feels more inviting. Loved our waiter she was great I tipped her well and the food! but will probably only order take out from now on. Won’t be dining inside...
Read moreWe were visiting Oliver for the weekend and came across this hidden gem as it was the only one open until 10pm. The food was amazing. The servers were friendly and greeted us the minute we walked in, they also gave their recommendations as to what to order. We loved their chicken roganjosh and the tikka platter was amazing and the first time we've seen such an item where we could sample a couple pieces of four types of their tandoori appetizers. We came from surrey so we are already exposed to such different qualities of Indian food so we walked in with minimal expectations but to say that we were blown away is an understatement. We actually ate here two nights in a row. Definitely will be a staple on our list next time we...
