If you are an Arsenal fan and be treated worst than prison. This is the place to be and got you cover. I have never gone to Barneyâs patio in downtown London, Ontario. However, when there is a party going on Friday night or weekend. The line up is huge and blocking the pavement. By the way, if anyone is an Arsenal also known as The Gunners/Gooners fan. I would stay away from Barneyâs as one of the patron was calling me and shouting profanity of sportsmanship of my support for wearing my Arsenal football kit. I bet this bar patio is made for Tottenham Hotspurs, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool F.C and Chelsea F.C fans. It does not matter about winning the Premier League the team you support have to their name, nor you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan or Springboks rugby fan for example. As an Arsenal known as The Gunners fan, I would not patronize nor visit this bar patio how one of their patrons who were serving them shouting profanity and about an Arsenal team as I am wearing their new Arsenal: Home Kit. I am not going to say who he looks like, but accepting a business that dislikes another sports team is unacceptable in a bad manner. Businesses should denied serve to any customers with their bad behaviour in public especially on their property. I hope karma will teach him a lesson and just mind his own business. Barneyâs should not accept or allow anyone on their premises and shout profanity to people outside of their premises. I would not accept this kind of act and any Arsenal fans should stay away. I would not accept that manâs apology nor Barneyâs just because I am wearing an Adidas Arsenal football/soccer home kit. I would rather be at the Rec Room, Jack Astorâs, East Side Marioâs or Real Canadian Brewhouse in the Masonville area of the city than how rowdy downtown young people can be. I am treated better there than Barneyâs even I never went to their establishment once. Arsenal fans known as The Gooners, stay away from Barneyâs. I am proud of myself wearing an Arsenal jersey and it is not about how many titles our team wins. It is about our representation. In the end, I walked away after that patron shout out to me. Hopefully, he will never do this to any Arsenal fans or other teams he is competing against. Barneyâs lost my business and I will never go here on my birthday. I will wear my Arsenal jersey, and celebrate my birthday at Rec Room and Jack Astorâs in the Masonville area. Come on You Gooners! Have some dignity, equality and human rights! Feel free to wear your Arsenal gears and be proud to be The Gunners. Arsenal fans should not patronized this business who are Manchester United fans bashing The Gunners. I do not bother other people what team you support or degrading you for wearing something another person dislike. Businesses like Barneyâs should tell any patrons who are aggressive to be asked to leave their property. This should never happen again to any Arsenal F.C fans. Shame on that patron and your business. I hope no Arsenal fans will never be treated poorly just by one foolish person to say that. I would rather go to the Rec Room and be treated equality there than Barneyâs. I was not feeling threatened of that patron for wearing an Arsenal jersey, but shouting profanity is not acceptable. That is why Barneyâs lost my business because of this incident. Jack Astorâs restaurant by Masonville is a better spot for me next time. Why would I come to your business; when someone is being aggressive over an Arsenal jersey that I am wearing, eh? Arsenal fans please STAY AWAY from Barneyâs! Go Arsenal Gooners!
Update: I am not blaming or disliking Barneyâs patio in downtown London, Ontario. I dislike one of your patrons who was shouting profanity of my Arsenal team as I am wearing their home kit jersey. Arsenal fans should avoid this establishment. The Gooners should support another bar whether it is Rec Room, Jack Astorâs, Montanaâs or Real Canadian Brewhouse. You lost a future customer because of one of your patrons cursing me as an Arsenal fan. Never in my life I will come to...

Barneyâs, located at 671 Richmond St. in London, Ontario, has been a well-known staple in the city for years. It shares its space with its sister venue, Ceeps, a nightclub that opens on select nightsâusually weekendsâand the energy between the two spots adds to the charm of the area.
Before visiting, I had heard from some locals that Barneyâs was mostly a student hangout for Western and Fanshawe students. While there are university students here, that perception couldnât be further from the truth. When I visited on a lively Monday evening, the patio was packedânot just with students, but with families, teens, young professionals, and long-time Londoners. Itâs clearly a spot that welcomes everyone.
What makes Barneyâs stand out is its patioâbeautifully set along Richmond Street with great views and even better people-watching. It gives off a bit of a Toronto vibe, showing just how much London has grown over the years.
Our server, Maya, deserves a special mention. Although she seemed fairly new to the industry, she was managing a large section almost on her own and doing an incredible job. She was attentive, friendly, and working hard to promote food and drink specials, all while keeping a full patio running smoothly. As the night went on, more staff joined, but Maya never missed a beat. Her effort didnât go unnoticed.
We tried the Corona-sponsored drink specials and their single-serve tacosâwhich were delicious. The nachos, though, were the showstopper: generous, fully loaded, and more than enough to feed a group. The red sangria was also excellentârefreshing and perfectly balanced.
I didnât see a single table waiting long or looking frustrated. Service was consistently great across the board, and it was clear the staffâboth front and back of houseâwere working hard to deliver a great experience.
There are lots of patio options in the Richmond Row area, but Iâll definitely be coming back to Barneyâsâand Iâll be asking to sit in Mayaâs section again. Sheâs got so much potential, and Iâm sure sheâll flourish in this role.
Thanks, Barneyâs, for a fantastic evening. Weâll be seeing you again soon!

Read moreWent with my boyfriend and two friends from out of town. We sat down for roughly 20 minutes before giving our drink and food order to the server. She brought the drinks fairly quickly and my boyfriend also asked for some water at this point. Fast forward one hour and all the tables around us that got there AFTER us had their food. We still hadn't gotten any food, nor the water we requested. Finally we had to call our server over (she didn't bother to check on us or ask why we were sitting there with empty glasses on our table, no water and no food for so long). We asked when the food was coming and she DIDN'T EVEN KNOW. She had to go check in the kitchen, came back and said the order never even got put through. She had to re-take our orders and said it would be complimentary. Another ten minutes later she came back and said the manager refused to make our food complimentary and would instead only cover 50% of the cost. She offered to pay the other 50%. I politely said that we wouldn't let her pay for our food but that the manager must cover 100% of our food cost, or we would simply cancel the order and leave. (We are pretty sure our server forgot to put our order through, but she seemed to blame the kitchen staff). The server then brought plates and cutlery over and didn't say a word to us.. but we assumed that meant the food would be free? A while later we finally got our food and she said she got it covered. It ended up being over a two-hour experience and we had to fight to get our meal covered, despite it not being our fault AT ALL that the order didn't go through. If the server had bothered to check on our table in the hour and a half we sat there with our empty glasses and no food, we would have gotten our food situation sorted out a lot sooner. Moral of the story: they don't really care if your experience is awful. Inattentive server and bad management. Don't waste your money on their overpriced drinks. Also, the washrooms...
