Super nice park to take a walk or run through; with connections to other major areas; it has a labelled path, one end going towards the university, and the other end heading towards downtown or Harris park (making your choice while you pass by Blackfriars bridge), if you're looking for the exercise. This is a large park next to the Thames River. It can be quite a lively park; including wildlife and people. The trees, along the river and spaced throughout the park, are massive and stunning. Other than travelling through the park, you can cool off in a water fountain/spray station, or go for a swim at the public pool. You can also just chill anywhere throughout the park; either at benches, picnic tables or just anywhere you choose. There are also some nice spots along the the river to get nice and close to the water for a great view of the river and wildlife. Some of these spots people are even seen coming to fish.

Very calm and quiet place for a morning or evening run ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ. This has become my usual place for my workouts. Beautiful sunset and the sound of water flowing in the river is just amazing. Still, they could add some pull up bars and some basic workout options as many runners are using the place. Still it is a free park for all the people. Green pastures are well maintained and it looks amazing. There is a separate section for kids to play around and that makes lot of families to visit very often. Best attraction is the outdoor pool ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ. There is enough parking available for almost 20 cars. I could see the staff cleaning the park by collecting some trash thrown out. There is also a big court to play badminton ๐Ÿธ and tennis! I guess itโ€™s mostly meant for the summer.

Where should I start? This park is fantastic! Multiple playgrounds for kids, tons of paved trails and some dirt trails, a bridge with a beautiful view of the Thames, tons of geese in this park, washrooms, an awesome splashpad, a pool, good amount of parking and a great picnic spot. This park has it all. Whether you're coming from the North, South, East or West, since it's central, it's quite easy to get to. We're a family of three, and my son absolutely loved it. We'll definitely be back to this to explore the trails more when we have our bikes and when it's less hot. 5/5

This is a great park for all ages. Special features include a splash pad, fun playground with unique toddler and bigger kid equipment sets, swings, tennis courts, covered picnic area, some parking spots, and a duck pond (well, river). There is also a community pool nearby. There is a port-a-potty on site and bathrooms a little further off near the big pool, when it's open. The paths are good for walking or riding a scooter or bike and there is a nice light wooded area where you can spot wildlife. You can take a walk away from the busy playground area and find some peaceful spots, or if you bring your kids, there are shady areas to sit and keep an eye on them as they play. It always looks very clean and well-maintained. There are many geese so there will be goose poop, but in the spring and early summer, you get to see the adorable babies, so fair trade! One of my favourite parts about it is that it's set down away from the roads so you don't have to be worried about cars whipping by your little ones (however, do watch for the speedy...

I have nothing to say positive about Gibbons Park in London, Ontario. My brother said he and his friend was there one time. He founded a needle and was a few centimetres away from near touching it that is hidden on the grass on broad daylight. There is a lot of homelessness and the addicts showing up. The public bathrooms are not that clean and it is closed sometimes. There are ducks or geese feces almost everywhere. But these birds most of the time do not bother you unless you are in their space. When you walk on the path and there is an upcoming cyclists. You have to force yourselves to move out of the way for them. The water of the river should be more maintain by the city of London, Ontario. It is not a place for me to be; if I am outside of the house. I know Canada has short summer, but I would rather be somewhere nice. It was okay back then but now the homeless people are taking over this Gibbons Park as their territory. I am better off staying away from trouble people and be somewhere peaceful, clean and a nice area with...

I go here often to search with my metal detectors to see what I can find I very much enjoy going to this park I've been going to this park for many years for everything from metal detecting to Simply sitting in the park enjoying a nice summer day . I've occasionally seen others metal detecting as well my wish for them is that they would learn how to be respectful of the grounds they are metal detecting at and proper metal detecting etiquette to leave the ground as they found it and not in a mess. It is not difficult and I wish more people would learn to be respectful and leave the ground as they found it. When I go medal detecting a person who walks by after I have found something they would never even know that I just searched the ground and got something out of the ground and I wish more people would do this and not leave messy holes wherever they search it gives me and other responsible metal detector Enthusiast a...
