Chicken Plus — Restaurant in Ontario

Finally a genuine, authentic Korean styled Fried Chicken in London!!! I no longer have to drive 2 hours to Toronto to satisfy my Korean Fried Chicken craving!!

Before this place opened up, I had visited and sampled pretty much every Korean/Japanese restaurants in London that served their own version of Fried Chicken... only to end up in utter disappointments as they all tasted like something I could've made in my own kitchen with my feet.

For those who are unaware, Chicken Plus is a franchise that is well established in Korea with over 400+ locations nationwide. The fact a brave soul decided to open up a location here, out of all places, in London Ontario, is a true blessing.

The chicken is very tender, as it has just enough coating of fried layer to make it crunchy on the outside but very soft inside as you bite down on them - and most importantly, the chickens aren't dry or tough, they are juicy. Unlike the other notable Korean chicken franchise that have locations in Toronto, the BBQ chicken, the meats here don't leave any bad after-taste and don't taste greasy or oily at all. Even after consuming the entire large + small chicken with my family, it didn't leave me feeling uncomfortable in the stomach as is often the case with fried foods. They must either be using very clean oil and changes them regularly, or use a combination of deep fry + air fry to ensure the oil stays off of chicken which is awesome. The Yangnyum chicken is just sweet enough and is not very spicy as it shouldn't be - they actually serve the spicy fried chicken as a separate menu which I very much appreciate - and the portion is very generous when you order a large.

In terms of quality I would say they are on par or better than some other famous Korean chicken places in Canada like The Fry, Mymychicken, BBQ chicken and so forth. As this is a new establishment here and barely open for about a month or so to my knowledge, it is kept very clean with LOTS of tables and seatings available.

Lastly the owner here is awesome - he tries very hard to please and I saw him treating other customers at other tables with just as much friendliness and attention that customers appreciate. Once this place start serving alcohol, which I would imagine to be soon, I can guarantee you this place will blow up like crazy. Whether you've never had Korean Fried chicken before, or if you've been looking for a good place that serves them in London, I highly recommend you try this place.

Chicken Plus is our favorite place to eat in London, Ontario! We always stop by after coming back from our camping trips, and it hits the spot every time. The large boneless chicken is amazing, especially the Honey Brown (sweet and rich), Hot Shocking (spicy with red pepper in soy sauce), and Soy Garlic (perfectly balanced). We love pairing it with their Rose Tteokbokki (bacon, sausage, and cheese), and we never skip the Cheese Balls-crispy outside, chewy mochi-like inside, with a hint of sweetness. A big shoutout to Choi, who's been serving us for a long time and always provides the best service. Her friendly attitude and the authentic food imported straight from Korea to keep us coming back. It's hands down the best spot in town, especially after a long camping trip!...

Very disappointed the way they treat their customers. When customers ask for Wings and Fries , they automatically make one separate “Wing” order and one separate “ fries “ order . While in the menu you can clearly order a small Wings and fries as a combo. They misleading their customers and charge larger more expensive price without the combo. No way for the customer to explain and no way that there are any number on the menu to clarify what number you order . When you come here, just prepare to pay $40 just for wings and fries. The sauces are light and the spices are light too. Go to Mississauga , you can tell the flavours is completely different than here. Terrible customer service . And not willing to fix the issue. ...
