Our Fat Jimmy's experience was a well rounded full experience. We we're stuff. We were starving however there was so much food for your buck we got two full dinners from them.(see photos). Doti our Hostess with the mostess who kept it coming on my Besties Birthday Day was very professional and Doti had a great sense of humor that kept us in stitches the whole meal..approximately 90 mins. If your looking for a new watering hold in Blenheim..Fat Jimmy's is the place you wanna be so load up that family and come to...Fat Jimmys Bar and culinary cuisine extraodinaire..merci😉. We started off with a meaty ceasar salad..CHEF DOESN'T SKIMP..K!..and then moved on the the main course. This consisted of two peice fish and chips with slaw and TAR TAR sauce. I had a full rack of ribs..GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY! IT WAS HUUUGE! The kind Fred Flintstone had on the side of his footster that flipped..OH YAAA! The sauce was amazing. I also had whipped taters with home made gravy. When I finished eating the gravy I turned to my wife and said .'I NEEDED THREE MORE SECOND!' This place is clean as well. The hostesses even on a busy Thursday...Friday or Saturday are on the ball. Don't take my word. Make your great weekend memories this summer at Fat Jimmy's. You won't regret your choice. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this restaurant had a very specific vibe. As first-time visitors, we weren’t sure whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. Two servers were chatting at the far end of the restaurant and, although they looked up when we entered, they didn’t acknowledge us. I eventually had to ask if we should seat ourselves.

It was myself, my husband, and our 15-month-old son. We placed our order, and while the food arrived quickly, our server forgot the third meal — our son’s. I had to remind her that we had ordered three meals, not two. Thankfully, the issue was corrected relatively fast, but it’s tough when a toddler is waiting and doesn’t have the patience an adult might.

The overall atmosphere seemed geared toward regulars. As newcomers, we felt a bit like outsiders — not unwelcome exactly, but definitely not the focus. I can understand why locals might enjoy the spot, but as a first-time guest, the experience left something...

I like giving places the benefit of the doubt, the reviews seemed pretty good so I figured I'd give this place a try. First of all for someone who's never been there before, there are 2 entrance's. Unfortunately the staff aren't very polite in directing you where to pick up your food (if you ordered it to go like I did) the staff just look at you like you've got 3 heads, and ask you what you're standing there waiting for. I ordered a philly steak sandwich with fries, and Jimmy'z house garden salad. My total came up to $29.36 which wouldn't have been bad if I had received french fries and the ranch dressing for my salad, and if the bread on my sandwich wasn't moldy. This place has potential, but the customer service, and food prep quality needs improvement. I will not be returning, or recommending this...
