I honestly didn’t want to bring this up; but I had other individuals/ friend bring up the same experience so here it is:
I will never go back glen. MEL the bartender kicked me out after adding a “regulars” tap to my mine after I said I would pay for me and my friends the so-called regular said he’d pay for us. I was more than willing to pay for myself and my 2 friends. And thought it was a thoughtful jester.
The I got the bill it was this man’s bill +mine… after I brought it up they both yelled at me. As a young person and these 40+ years old yelling at me. Like, Sure I’n not broke but I didn’t agree to pay for this man’s tab… regardless
I was willing to pay and tip for mine and my friends drinks. But not this regulars. +tip (I usually tip well through culture I’m an NY girlie and server don’t get paid much at all.) my bill was 70+ bc of the situation I would have tip at least $20-$30 as idk how bartenders get paid on the Canadian side. But after the experience I had plus having to pay a strangers tap I didn’t agree to I didn’t tip bc I was also being kicked out.
I wasn’t being rowdy or anything.
Honestly as a sever I’m sorry ur regulars are too cheap to tip 10% that u have to steal from non-regs to garnish your wages. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here for a...
Read moreGreat place to go to after an Empire Loyalist decendant family reunion. Karaoke is great as the pub winds down its day for the weekend. My sister and I used to go here back when it first opened after nursing class at the college. I also would go here if my car is being fixed at Canadian tire or getting my hair done MJ beside the Glengarian Pub. The events they host can't be beat. It does have a few flaws....you can be solicited for sex as you leave to your car...Dark side of all busineses after hours. ( can't lead anyone believe it is safe being alone at any bar in any city or town). Overall ...fun and chance to see a diverse crowd in same room. No...I am not like anyone to be compared to. Aldo note ...dome of my personal pictures like the sunset at Upper Canada Playhouse in Morrisburg was displayed like it was the Pub....Hack into pictures on the cell? Who knows....take care. Sun sets in the West...
Read moreWe had a wonderful dining experience at the Glengarrian. I had the Shepherd's Pie and the better half had the Irish meat loaf. We always try each other's dishes when we dine out. The Shepherd's Pie was delicious and the Irish meat loaf, which is cooked in Guiness gave it a unique flavour that is not to be missed. As if this wasn't enough, our server, Blake, a relatively new employee, was so attentive, making sure everything was to our satisfaction. I asked if he could make me a Scarlett O'Hara and although he had never heard of it, not surprising because they were popular many years ago, he researched it and made me one. It was perfect. The other two staff members, one being the chef, spoke to us and made us feel right at home. If you are planning a trip to Cornwall make sure the Glengarrian is on your list of places to dine. Great value at reasonable prices. You won't be...
