My first visit here yesterday on my birthday and it won’t be my last. I walked in and right away you just feel the good energy. You are greeted instantly and with gratitude. I can’t tell you the last time I went for food and the restaurant was just as grateful for my business as I was for their hard work. I honestly could’ve left without food and given the restaurant five stars still. I feel like I got a hug that I needed as I lost my mom just a couple mths before and this was my first birthday without her. Their kindness and warmth really was special. Now for the food itself lol my apologies. I ordered the lemon chicken and it came with white rice. I also got chicken fried rice and two egg rolls. This was my 19yr old son’s meal. He said it was a 10/10. Quote on quote “fire” . He only finished half. I also got a cherry lemonade that had real lemon and lime. If you like tart like we do then you’ll love this. If you want it more sweet you can add sugar, I just opted out. Also she added brown sugar booba to the bottom. My teenager and my 6 year old both loved it. Then, as if they couldn’t be any sweeter, I was gifted fried wontons as a bday treat. I felt like I just had my birthday party lol it was amazing. It cost like $33 for the food and the drink was $8. Worth every single penny. When you work hard for your money, you don’t feel guilty spending it at establishments like this. Seriously, go visit them, try their food grab a drink. They have so many if you look online. And enjoy the experience. Tip generously this family deserves the love back that they put out...
Read moreI've eaten here three times now. I've wanted for many years another chinese restaurant in this area to compete with Pomegranate's crazy high prices. I want them to succeed but I have to say the food has been wildly inconsistent.
The first time I went, the General Tao's was perfectly crispy and moist inside with a light coating of sauce. The Chicken Soo Gui was well cooked but too little gravy on top. The fried rice had no flavor, but soy sauce can fix that. I was happy with it overall.
The second time, the Chicken soo gui was so overcooked, so breading so crunchy but not in a good way, meat was tough and chewy. I figured it was just a bad night so I decided to give them another chance.
The third time the General Tso was just soggy, not crispy at all, just drowning in sauce. The fried rice just tasted like a dirty wok, i rather have no flavor than a burnt old oil taste
I think I will just be giving them a break for a few months to see if they...
Read moreThe young man that answers the phone here is so condescending and rude for no reason, every time I call.
First experience, I ask for my order by name. He says "what number?" annoyed. I said sorry I don't know that.
Next time I call, I say I would like a carryout order. "What?" again I say, I would like to place a carry out order. He laughs and says "you mean a pickup order?" Like I am stupid, it's the same thing.
Then I say, I would like a number 40.(I am prepared with my number this time) then again in an annoyed tone says "What is that?" So basically no matter what he just wants to be rude to people for some reason. I don't get his attitude.
I hung up, I am not going back here ever again. Not worth being treated badly trying to...
