Worst Experience Ever – Absolutely Unacceptable!

I ordered one plate of vegetarian momos from Hakka Khajana. The server brought two plates instead and insisted I had ordered two, even arguing with me about it. I clearly explained that I only ordered one plate, because how is a single person supposed to eat 24 pieces of momos? I still stayed calm and said, “Fine, pack the extra one and I’ll take it home.” But when I took the first bite of the momos I ordered to eat in, I was shocked…It was chicken! I am a pure vegetarian, and I have never eaten meat in my life. I pointed directly to the vegetarian momos on the menu while ordering. This mistake is not just about bad service. it’s a violation of my beliefs and my dietary restrictions. Because of their carelessness, they completely disrespected my faith and my culture. This is beyond disappointing. it’s offensive. If a restaurant cannot respect a customer’s clear order, especially when it’s about something as important as dietary restrictions, they should not be in business. I am seriously considering legal action and demanding compensation for this mistake. Do not trust this place. They serve the wrong food, argue with customers, and have no respect for people’s choices or beliefs. Worst service I have ever...

Love the food 9/10 times but you guys need to hire more staff for the weekends .

Dine- in on Sunday was chaotic. It was 30 degrees outside and it was so hot and stuffy inside and when asked to make the temperature cooler, the server said she doesn’t have access to the air conditioning because the manager was not in. Too many people inside the restaurant plus it being so stuffy literally made it hard to breathe.

No one came to seat us for 10 mins and then didn’t take our order at the table for more than 5-7 mins and when the lady finally came to us she told us to hurry up because last order was at 10 pm and it was 10:03. It wasn’t our fault that we were waiting to be seated for so long and then later took so long to take our order. Her response was we are so busy as you can see.

Ok??? Then hire more staff at-least for the weekends because it looked like they were struggling to manage.

Palak paneer and rotis were not good that day. Mango lassi tasted weird and nothing like lassi and I had an upset stomach after drinking that.👎🏻

The usual Indo-Chinese and Nepalese food items are 10/10. Please manage better...

I ordered a lot from this restaurant but It was my birthday so I wanna give a treat to my friends and I took them for lunch-Dine in. My first time dine-in in this restaurant. It was like worst experience I have ever had in Canada. Staff don't even ask before taking your plates, my friend was using some plates on our table and lady who was serving us just took those plates and it was very quick that we were not able to ask her to get that back. Apart from that I don't understand why this restaurants charge 15 % gratuity tax if we are more than 6 people and unfortunately we were 7. I asked her that we are just 7 then why you are charging 15% for 1 extra person and I asked her that we will split the bill but for that also she denied. So in total I paid approx. 30% tax on top of my bill which is unacceptable. another dirty way to pressure customers to pay minimum tips. The automatic 15% tip was confusing, awkward and pressuring. It was one of my very bad day - birthday. You are loosing your customers if you charge unnecessary taxes which are not mandatory and focus on...

🔥Ok Hakka, but could be better 🔥 Ok let’s talk about what I liked : Service 🔝✅ Menu Options ✅ Restaurant ✅ Takeout packaging ✅ Price ✅ What I didn’t like: Greasy ❎ Manchurian wasn’t “dry” ❎ Food was ok at best. Needs improvement to be 🔝 in London ❎ I was very excited when this restaurant occupied the space where one of the best Indian restaurants in London used to be. When I ordered the Manchurian chicken dry vs gravy I didn’t expect what I saw I’m the picture below and was a little disappointed. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Hakka is one of my favourite food genres so I take this review very seriously. I typically will order their Manchurian or Chilli Chicken to be fair. I want to like this place because of the location and I love supporting independent local businesses. I would return to this restaurant and I’m hoping they will step it up a bit. Support your local Hakka restaurant!!!💯

I recently dined at this restaurant, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The food here is undeniably good, and what impressed me the most was the portion size - it's just perfect. You definitely get your money's worth. We ordered a variety of dishes, including Shrimp Singapore Noodles, Mixed Fried Rice, Mango Shake, Chicken Biryani, Dragon Chicken, and Crispy Fried Chicken. Among these, I highly recommend trying the Mixed Fried Rice, which had a wonderful blend of flavors, the Crispy Fried Chicken, which was incredibly crunchy and flavorful, and the Mango Shake, a refreshing and sweet treat. Considering the quality and quantity of food, the average cost per person of around $25 seems quite reasonable. Whether you're looking for a quick meal or a satisfying dining experience, this restaurant is worth a visit.

Update after 2 years: The food is alright if you can get past the mouth burning amount of chillies. They used to lower the spice level on asking earlier but they have stopped honoring the request, despite agreeing to it on phone. It would be a good practice to either honor the request or let the customer know that customization will not be possible. This has happened to us on multiple occasions lately. 2022 5-star review: We ordered Lamb Biryani and Kabab Platter and everything was so delicious. The food was non-greasy and flavorful. The lamb and everything else was cooked to perfection. We asked for mild spice level and it was mild. Probably the best North Indian food we found in London so far. The quantity was good and the cost was reasonable as well. Will order from here again. Highly recommend it to all.
