A small yet wonderful place for a great lunch with family. šŸ˜‹šŸ‘ŒšŸ» Food tastes good and lands you in a perfect Indian nostalgia. Especially, people looking for pure vegetarian food. It also includes Vegan meals (tagged as V), Jain meals (tagged as J). In addition to that as safety matters, has food available for people with nut allergies, and gluten free (tagged as GF) food.

We had Sambar Vada (3 medium sized vadas, don't expect it to be huge as we get back in India🄓) served along with phalli chutney (peanut). Followed by Vegetarian Thali which includes 1 Puri, Two Curries (you get to choose as you wish), some plain white basmati rice (decent portion, but not as you'd get in India), 1 tsp achar (pickle), 1 papad, 1 micro bowl of dessert (again it's a choice, we had Gajar ka Halwa and Ras Malai) which was šŸ˜‹āœØ.

Showstopper! I can't miss out on mentioning the MASALA CHAI... ā˜•šŸ‘ŒšŸ»šŸ† which is indeed the best in the town as far as my experience here in Canada is concerned. I did share the same with the staff and requested them to be consistent, because what else would a typical Indian require except a great refreshing chai after strolling around the Downtown Streets of London. It's an elixir for all kinds of tiredness and street stress!

Got a decent seating arrangement, and a great ambiance with ambient Indian Retro Instrumental Music being played in the background which again takes you down the Indian nostalgia... šŸ˜ŒšŸŽµšŸŽ¶

A perfectly hospitable team of staff led by Bhargavi šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€šŸ³ made sure we had the best dining experience. I loved their courteousness of checking on me and my family at regular intervals which in my opinion wouldn't be offered by any fine restaurant in this town, even at a cost. šŸ‘ŒšŸ»šŸ†āœØ

The only thing that's missing are the condiments! šŸ˜… Saunf ... fennel seeds ... sugary mint coated ... which any typical Indian restaurant would offer as a mouth freshener during checkout (comes along with the bill, in a decorated box or dish). I did mention the same to the staff and they've taken it as feedback.

āš ļø If you're using the restrooms 🚻 be mindful of the staircase as the ceiling is too low, at least for a tall man like me šŸ˜Ž It does have a caution šŸ›‘ board painted bright! So, watch out! You wouldn't wanna bang your...

We dined in on September 19 around 6:30 pm. The food was really good (in all fairness, it was our first time trying South Indian food so we didn’t have much to compare it to but the server made some really good suggestions which made the process easier). The service however was exceptional! I’m extremely confused as to why there are so many reviews talking about bad customer service because we experienced the complete opposite. The two girls working there were extremely friendly; made recommendations on food, checked in to make sure we liked the food, at one time, the table was too small for the 3 of us (my husband, son and I) and she had no problems combining another table with ours to give us more space. Yes they have limited seating but I don’t know why anyone would expect anything different given that it’s located in downtown and that’s to be expected so for them to still combine a table was greatly appreciated. The girls were amazing with my 2 year old and gave him little toys to play with. Based on our experience, they’re a great restaurant that’s very family friendly. My son had a great time and really enjoyed the toys and the stickers that were given to him as we were leaving. At no point in time did we feel like we were rushed. I would definitely come back here again due to the friendly customer service that was provided. I would consider that going above and beyond and would recommend this to anyone because keeping my child entertained was not something the servers had to do but they took it upon themselves to do it (I wish I got their name but hopefully with the date and time, the owner would know who they are). Thank you so...

I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, very hungry and on a tight budget. I’ve been eager to try Udupi Krishna since it opened. I was very happy and satisfied. I had a mixed vegetable Uthapam. I wasn’t sure what to expect because this was my first time trying this dish. It was very good and filling. It came with three different sauces and each complemented the dish perfectly. I think this is normally a side dish, and it would possibly be best enjoyed shared with a friend as a starter. But I ate solo and really loved it. I was full and though I was eager to try something else, I decided to do so another day. I didn’t know what to expect and I just kind of took a chance with it. The place itself is cozy but well arranged and doesn’t feel crowded. They played great music and the decor was neat and fascinating without being obtrusive—their logo is especially cool. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The person who helped me explained what the dish I ordered was and what it’s ingredients were (I didn’t even have to ask, she just let me know since I indicated that I was gluten free). London should be very proud to have this nice new addition to its revamped downtown Dundas strip. It makes for a great stop when you’re out and about and hungry after browsing the shops. Overall, I am very glad I chose to eat here and I will be coming back with friends. A big Thank You to the staff and cooks at...

I recently dined at your restaurant with my family and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. I ordered the veg thali, which, while tasty, was heavily marred by several issues. Firstly, I found a hair in one of the curries. I discreetly showed this to the waitress to avoid causing a scene in the small restaurant, but her response was less than satisfactory. She suggested that the hair might have fallen from me while eating, which seemed dismissive and did not address the problem. Additionally, the food was excessively oily. The puris were drenched in oil, and the curries were similarly greasy. This not only affected the taste but also made the meal quite unappetizing. While I appreciated the waitress's efforts in handling the situation, it was disheartening to see the head of the place pass by without intervening or addressing the issue. I ended up tipping the waitress 15% of my bill, as she was taking the brunt of the situation, and offered ten percent discount but the overall experience left much to be desired. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements. The name "Udupi" suggests a certain standard, but my visit did not meet those expectations. I am not visiting this place here after. If you like to have fried hair with some indian spices , in your menu please help yourself.

Went to this place mostly because of how highly its reviewed and it didn’t disappoint. I was a little shocked at how quickly they were able to deliver so much with all being delicious. The restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived but we didn’t have to wait for long for our appetizers and then for my mains, even ordered one more dish as we were finishing the mains and that was pretty quick too. And everything was DELICIOUS, i know idli Manchurian sounds like a weird fusion and i was very skeptical about it too but it was so good, so perfectly executed in terms of flavour. I was very happy. This is the type of food that is vegetarian, delicious and honestly healthy enough that you won’t feel guilty about it. Also the menu being in a shape of banana leaf is such a cute and nice touch. The overall vibe is also very welcoming. Highly recommend this place to anyone in London.
