Jade Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Ontario

Let me first preface this review saying that I actually like the food at Jades and I never really had issues before after eating here for many years.

However, I ate there on Monday, July 3rd at 10:00 pm with my girlfriend and everything was going well until after the bill was successfully paid.

Something went wrong with the tipping mechanism and it brought my girlfriend's tip on the bill to 0(she tipped 20% originally), however the bill was successfully paid for. We were about to leave, when we were stopped and yelled at by the waitresses, they were making a big spectacle and kept pointing at the bills at the 0 tip amount. In the end, they guilted and pressured my girlfriend to tip a generous amount. I understand that this was a misunderstanding, but it doesn't give them a right to act unprofessional and try to embarrass us in the restaurant for the thought of not tipping. Tipping is a voluntary gesture in the first place, and to try to belittle and berate someone for this is just plain wrong...

What if a less fortunate individual did not tip? I bet they would would try to humiliate this person for being poor.

For this, I am never eating or spending another $ at Jades ever again and I'll go as far as to say I hate the people working there. Terrible human beings. Go F*...

A Special Celebration at Jade Restaurant

Our family has been coming to Jade Restaurant for years, and it’s become a go-to spot for special occasions. Today was especially meaningful — we came to celebrate my return with my husband from our honeymoon. After traveling abroad, we were craving comforting, flavorful Asian food, and Jade was the first place that came to mind.

The dim sum was fresh and delicious as always, with our favorite — the fried chow neon — hitting the spot. The flavors, the texture, and the variety never disappoint. It’s the kind of food that brings us back again and again, and today it made our homecoming feel extra special.

Most of the staff are friendly and welcoming, and we truly appreciate the familiar faces that greet us. That said, there are a few who could be more attentive or warm. Still, the overall service is good, and the positive experiences we’ve had over the years far outweigh any minor lapses.

I placed an order for 2 combos and they made a mistake by sending me chicken sue guy on both instead of the beef chop sue that I had ordered so I called them and told them they made a mistake on the order. They told me that the next time I call and place an order I just give them my phone number and they will give me a full order of beef chop sue. I just called them now and they wanted to argue and blame me they don't make mistakes and was yelling at me. I will never order from this place again. I'm not going to take a chance on an order and not only not get what I ordered but that they won't honor their promises. Order at your own risk here
