D-Spot Desserts Windsor is an absolute gem for anyone with a sweet tooth! From the moment you step inside, you're transported into a world of delightful desserts that are as visually stunning as they are delicious.
The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming, with bright colors that instantly uplift your mood. The spacious layout ensures that even during busy times, you can find a comfortable spot to enjoy your treats, whether you're flying solo or with a large group of friends.
Now, let's talk about the menu – it's extensive, to say the least! With so many tempting options to choose from, it's almost impossible to decide what to order. But fear not, because whatever you end up choosing is guaranteed to be a delight for your taste buds.
The service, while good, could be a tad more attentive. However, once we asked for additional menus and assistance, the staff was more than accommodating and helpful. Special shoutout to the lovely lady who served us, she made our experience even more enjoyable with her warm and friendly demeanor.
As for the desserts themselves, they are nothing short of spectacular. Whether you opt for the classic favorites like hot fudge sundaes and New York-style cheesecake, or venture into more adventurous territory with options like lotus cookie funnel cake, you're in for a treat. And let's not forget about the portions – they're generous enough to share with a friend, but so delicious you might not want to!
I recently had the pleasure of trying their classic funnel cake and waffles, and let me tell you, they were absolute perfection. The funnel cake was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and dusted with just the right amount of powdered sugar. And the waffles? Light, fluffy, and topped with fresh berries and whipped cream – it was like a brunch dream come true.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a dessert spot that ticks all the boxes – delicious treats, vibrant ambiance, and friendly service – look no further than D-Spot Desserts Windsor. It's a five-star experience from start to finish, and I can't wait to go back for more...
Read moreWe have been to DSpot Windsor twice now
The first time was lovely and we left with only great things to say
The second time has been the polar opposite, and has tainted our opinion considerably
All of the following occurred during the same visit:
sign in the front directing you to wait to be seated. We waited without greeting for nearly 10 minutes before choosing to take a dirty table just to clear the entrance/doorway no wait staff to the table for another 10 mins (last visit was fully served) removed the dirty silverware from our table ourselves, asked the girl working the counter for a clothe to wipe the chocolate stains from our table - we were told she would be around to do so placed our order and returned to the table to wait on the pager (no big deal). Staff came around 3 times to move or tidy tables in the area, never ours (we ended up switching tables after the sundae came) when the sundae was served, the napkins had already been used to clean the drips (see photo) and became unusable for cleanup sundae did not include the cheesecake pop portion as advertised bathroom contained zero toilet paper or paper towels - both dispensers empty ice cream spatters across the walls directly adjacent to the tables (see photo)
It is very clear that the menu and food is delicious. But the staff of entirely international students, who struggle to communicate in English, do not provide even partially acceptable levels of service.
It's an absolute shame that what seems like a great franchise is ruined by terrible staff, unclean atmosphere, and clearly terrible hiring practices
Going from a strong recommendation after our first visit, to never wanting to return ourselves or anyone we...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at D Spot. The menu clearly stated that chicken could be added to nachos, yet I was told it wasn’t possible until I pointed it out directly on the menu. I asked for lactose-free milk, which is advertised, but was told it wasn’t available. When I ordered an iced cookie butter latte, I was told they only had pistachio, even though I’ve had the cookie butter latte here before. I also found it unreasonable that ordering coffee with cream or milk would be considered an extra charge. The service overall was frustrating and unprofessional; the server repeatedly took the menu from me whenever I mentioned something, insisting she would “show me,” even though I was already pointing to what the menu stated. Our drinks were served in paper cups instead of mugs, even though we were dining in, and they weren’t identified when placed on the table. When we asked about them, the server opened the lids to check which coffee was which, which felt very unhygienic. The coffee sizes were also inconsistent, with one being small and the other large, despite us never being asked about size. When I raised the issue, the server said she’d check but never returned. She also refused to provide her name when asked, which was disappointing, as I have worked as a server before and know that introducing yourself is a basic part of good service. To make matters worse, the nachos were served cold. I came here hoping to enjoy the late hours, but instead it turned out to be the worst dining experience I’ve had. The staff clearly need proper training and a better understanding of the menu. Unfortunately, I do not recommend...
