Mac N' Wings - Belleville — Restaurant in Ontario

Placed an order on the opening night of Mac N' Wings and here's what I thought. I'm always wary of a restaurant with a huge menu, it often means to me that they don't specialize in anything and are trying to appeal to to large a demographic. The wings were alright and an alright price per pound, but I can say that I think The Dugout and Wings Up are tastier and meatier. The poutine was tasty but reminded me of a diner style poutine which was nothing special. The Mac N Cheese was a real let down for me. It was just noodles with sauce poured over, topped with breadcrumbs and some cheese. No love put into it, just super basic and lacking taste big time . Lastly we tried the Southern Comfort wrap because it looked pretty wild. It was indeed hefty in size, but the combination of the mac & cheese, fried chicken and BBQ sauce somehow didn't jive the way I thought it would and therefore was worth a try to me but wouldn't order it again. Belleville is very fortunate to have this new restaurant, Mac n Wings. With a plenty of options, the restaurant is spotless and the staff are incredibly friendly. I was lucky enough to meet the owner, who was kind and explained each item in the menu in detail. They have over 100 wing flavours.There are also a variety of wraps served with a side of delicious fries, as well as more than 20 varieties of Mac n Cheese - basically whatever your heart desires. The atmosphere of the restaurant is spectacular. I have already visited more than five times. The price of the wings compared to other places is incredibly cheap and the taste is out of this world. They use fresh chicken wings, not frozen. Sometimes the wait time can be more than 30 minutes, but the staff are honest about this and let you know upfront. The wait is certainly worth it. To avoid waiting, they provide a pager and let you know when your food is ready - very cool technology. I'm already addicted...

There are a ton of flavours to choose from. We had the spicy garlic parm, salt and pepper wings and the tandoori veg mac n choose. The wings look to have been freshly made when served, and they were delicious! The salt and pepper wings were just a bit too salty for me. The mac n cheese did have the tandoori flavour and was well made. One recommendation is for them to add the salad dressing on the side rather than pour the whole ranch dressing on the salad.
