Montana’s BBQ & Bar — Restaurant in Ontario

Sat and waited over 10 minutes before we were spoken to (aside from our hostess) our waitress (Sarah) took our drink order and we waited yet again over 10 minutes before we got drinks. The drinks we received were 3 waters. We were missing 2 kids drinks, a Diet Pepsi and hot water. She dropped the drinks and basically ran away. Waited 15 minutes before she returned to take our food order. Where we then asked where the missing drinks were. She said she didn't hear that order. She brought over the hot water and kids drinks still no Diet Pepsi. Yet another 10 minutes and we stopped her on her way to another table to ask for the Diet Pepsi. She said she was busy with another table and would be right back. Acting very impatient with us, when she had clearly forgotten about the drink. Our food came. One plate was missing the sweet potato fries and was given regular fries. One plate had cold food and had to be returned. And the last plate had fries when asked without. Our server was very short with us and never asked if we needed anything additionally when serving us. We had 4 burgers on the tables and no burger set ups. The table beside us received the mustard, vinegar and relish. We also only received 2 sets of cutlery with 6 people. 2 napkins for 6 people including 2 kids? As a server this service was completely unacceptable and none of us will be returning to this restaurant. The Cow was Delicious!!!

Wife and I had stayed the evening in Kingston and wanted to get something to eat that wasn't fast food, and saw Montana's was open, so we went. Glad we did. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were seated right away, and our server Jen provided us with menu's, got us our perferred drinks and knew when to come an get our orders. Very polite, and professional. Excellent service.

The resturant was clean, with low music in the back ground so hearing each others convo was no issue, table was clean and ready when we sat down. Drinks were cold and seating ( we had a booth) was confortable. Atmosphere was great. Friendly and well mannered staff who paid attention to all the guests. Lighting was adiqute and bathrooms were very clean. Location and parking were great as well.

The food was well above average, I had the strip loin and my wife the chicken Fajitas. Both were amazing. I am picky on how I like my steak and the chef definalty knew thier way aroud a grill and the flavor told the whole story. I will be back for this steak again and again.

Over all, I'd recommend this location for the staff and the food. A big thanks to Jen our server for making our night enjoyable and the cooking staff for the time an care that went into making our delicious food. See you again when were are back in...

On August 23rd 2024 We desided to take our 87 year old father out for dinner as a treat. My husband and I usually go to Mesa Fresca or St. Louis, but we had not been to Mountanas in years and thought something different would be nice. The 3 of us arrived at 4:30 before the dinner rush. We sat at a table beside the bar and promptly ordered three drinks. The server was pleasant. Unfortunately When we were ready to order our meal we waited and waited and waited and waited ......... As we could see our waiter chatting with other servers behind the bar! He finally came back and we ordered 2 Canadian burgers and I Decided to splurge for the beef ribs. They look so good on the menu! While waiting for our meal We were ready to replenish our drinks..... Again , we couldn't get the attention of our server and had to flag down another server to bring our needs to his attention. soon after our meals arrived they looked great.

Fortunately my ribs were We're overcooked. It was a real disappointment.Our server never asked us how our meals were. I was too embarrassed to say anything in front of my father.I didn't want to ruin his experience Being a gentleman.
