Decided to give this place a try with my husband. We both ordered similar dishes, vermicelli type, but I got pork and my husband chicken. Mine was mediocre but I could eat it. My husband's chicken wasn't hot at all though. We asked if they could at least warm up the chicken but they put the whole thing in the microwave, which included the salad. It became uneatable, not to mention the chicken was also tasteless to begin with. We both ate from my bowl and left his. We explained to management and they blamed us for asking it to be microwaved. They also said it was hot when served and then changed their story and said it's a cold dish because its a salad. We refused to pay for it and they asked us to never go back again. We weren't planning on it anyways. Horrible food and...
Read moreTruly disappointed. Owner doesn't care for customer satisfaction at all. I called this evening to let him know that an order we made was incorrect. We got chicken and shrimp instead of the tofu. He told me it only came with chicken and shrimp. We hung up, checked the menu and it clearly gave a tofu option for number 11. When I told him that he changed his story and said that my husband didn't ask for tofu. Instead of an apology and perhaps an offer to make the right meal, he kept saying that he made the right meal. I wasn't expecting a free meal!!! How would he have known that, he didn't even ask. When i told him that we order from him all the time, he didn't seem to care. Food is good but will think twice about going there. Terrible that the owner did...
Read morePicked up dinner for the family here the other night. Maybe I'm just too used to Wok-In and Mekong, but the flavour and quality of cooking just weren't there for me. The best dish we had was #17 (Yellow curry); I really enjoyed that. However, the Banh Xeo was not nearly as good as Wok-In (really missed the basil flavour, wider veggie variety and the thinner/dryer crepe). Also, the Bo Bun (#6) in both chicken and pork was poor - Mekong is much better for both of those. Saigon Delights' meat was just too dried out and unflavoured. Finally, their spring rolls are the worst I've had in Kingston. Wok-In still has the best, provided they are open and you can place an order! The best thing I can say for Saigon Delights (Gardiner's) is that they were fast...
