Mr.Sub — Restaurant in Ontario

I asked for the cheddar bread- there were no large but there was ample amounts of small! I asked if I could get 2 small bread instead then and got told no. It was 30 mins to close, I'm glad you'd rather toss it! I then asked for the spicey chicken sub, got the parmesan chicken.. I then ask for pickles on the side as all I got on my sub was olives, and wasnt sure if i would end up wanting pickle on it, also got told no the only way i can get pickle is to be charged for it..? I just paid 9.00 for a sub- just olives and protein and I couldn't even get a SIDE of pickles? Got a small Turkey on WHOLE WHEAT he then started putting it on white..I then made it a combo and there was no Pepsi cans in the cooler so I grabbed a bottle as there wasnt much selection, after checking out there was Pepsi cans behind the counter.. I then said "oh I would of got a can if I had known you had them" the guy goes "there is Pepsi cans in the bottom of the cooler" I said no, no there is not.. no apology, no anything.. so expensive when they literally charge you extra for everything or dont put all available product out.. pretty slimy. What is the point of having "custom" subs if the employees dont even listen or put on what you ask..? Very...

September 22, 2025. Did you know you have to pay for toppings at Mr. Sub now. You do at 425 West St. Orillia. I went to get a basic assorted sub that I have bought since in my teens. I ordered the sub, was asked if I wanted extra cheese, said no thank you, the scruffy elderly foreigner, seemed angry already, placed the sub on the metal with no wrap under it, then asks me what topics I would like, I said tomato, lots of lettuce and olives, onion and sub sauce. He hesitantly added extra lettuce then hesitantly added olives, I asked him to add more olives, he added one at the top and a couple at the other end, I explained no, no, I am sorry, I was asking for lots of olives please. The scruffy guy says, if you get more olives you have to pay for them. This will be more than I put on. I was shocked, I said keep the sub and left the store. I went to Little Caesars next door instead. I have went here for years they are always rude but and scruffy, but never have I had to pay for toppings before ever. So ridiculous. Good bye, Mr. Sub forever! Hello Little Caesars, better than a cheap...

Staff is so nice and helpful but the Manager is rude and unfair, wouldn’t stand by a sub that was terribly made, missing half the ingredients, bread & Steak was hard as a rock, as if they had microwaved the sub for way too long, it was ordered for delivery as My sister is disabled and unable to drive so she called the store to see what could be done about the sub, was told by the staff they apologized and wanted to help but had to wait for a manager. Staff member called back short time later to say he was going off shift but the manager was left the message. Manager didn’t call back, my sister had to call the store and was screamed at on the phone and pretty much called a liar and if he believed everyone that had a complaint he’d be out of business and then hung up on her. Terrible way to conduct business. What happened to customer service this Manager/Owner doesn’t obviously care who...
