Famous Archie’s — Restaurant in Ontario

Phenomenal staff, Phenomenal food, this is easily one of the best restaurants in Orillia and Ontario.

Every single time I visit or order for delivery, I'm always impressed with the freshness and quality.

Their fries are always fresh and crisp. Never once have i ever questioned the integrity of the oil they were cooked in because nothings worse than soggy fries cooked in old oil (I'm sure we've all had that expierence at Wendy's or Mc Donald's).

The smash burgers are absolutely incredible. Again, always incredibly fresh and never overcooked.

Their fried chicken sandwiches are insanely good. Crispy breading and spectacularly juicy.

This wouldent be a proper review if I didnt mention their Milkshakes either which definitely deserve to be talked about. I'm not a big strawberry ice cream kinf of person but their strawberry milkshake is one of the best milkshakes I've ever had and they make specialty ones every month too incase you want something other than the standard chocolate/Vanilla/Strawberry.

Speaking of specials... they also do a themed Burger/ milkshake of the month too. And if I'm being honest.... theyre always incredibly creative and usually pretty dam good too.

Last but not least... the special sauces... yes, Archies has their own signature sauces and they are absolutely delicious! The Archie sauce has a hint of Thyme that really compliments the chicken sandwich but goes great with the fries and smash burgers too. They also have a Whammy sauce that's pretty good too.

Now, if all of that wasnt good enough... their prices are insanely reasonable too This is one of the only restaurants these days I don't feel like I'm being ripped off and I feel like my money was well spent and that says alot. I can't remember the last time I left a spot and felt like I got good value for my money but I always feel good leaving Archies and I always feel like the tips I leave are well deserved. They work incredibly hard and the quality of the Archies expierence proves it.

All around a solid burger joint. If I'm being honest it's actually a 4/5 but since I live in Orillia and it's the best spot in town overall for burgers, fries and a shake I gave it a 5. It doesn't live up to some burgers I've had in other cities or even in Orillia but the whole package and price it's the best place to go. It was my first time here so I went with my standard double smash with lettuce, onion, pickle and burger sauce. However I guess I didn't read the menu correctly and it came with a middle bun, no worries I just discarded the middle bun for a better meat/bun ratio. Burger was good, the bun was fresh, the lettuce and onion were crisp and the American cheddar was perfectly melted. The patties were cooked medium, I like a medium rare patty but it wasn't an option. The fat content seemed low as it wasn't very greasy at all. I prefer when a burger has a little grease. Overall I'd give this burger an 8/10. The poutine didn't have cheese curds, they used some kind of mozz or other kind of cheese that melts away. The gravy was perfect and the fries while not fresh cut were cooked well. 8/10 Vanilla shake was a solid 10/10. If you don't like sprinkles ask for no sprinkles as it does come with them added. With my own personal bias aside on what is an ideal burger, this is an absolute solid option, we're lucky to have such a great burger joint in a town this size. This place is a true gem!

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here for lunch a couple days ago. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and a huge welcome by the very friendly staff who resembled Archie's very own Betty and Veronica. Love that! But the atmosphere is what stole my heart immediately. It was like we walked out of 2023 and into the 1980's. Not only is it bursting with bright, welcoming colors, but the music was on point. We ordered a couple burgers, poutines, and a vanilla and chocolate milkshake. Famous Archie's has brought the smash burger back to life. The milkshakes were AH-MAZING. The whipped cream, sprinkles, and cherry on top were so nostalgic. We enjoyed them to the last drop. The poutine was the perfect size! If you are into squeeky cheese curds and a gravy with a deep flavour, then I highly suggest you try it out!
