Nana's Bakery — Restaurant in Ontario

We ordered a cake with an edible picture. This is what we got for $30+. I gave 2 stars as the taste was good. Visually it was an eyesore. I didn't know it is possible to mess up a cake that needs only a print to placed on. I was seriously considering calling off the party...:(

Update: I did contact Doug recently and he had absolutely great attitude toward my complaint and gave me a refund. He said he was always glad to get feedback even if it is a negative one as he would like to be able correct if a mistake was made. I was very impressed by this attitude, I wish more businesses were like this. I changed my rating to 3 stars as I believe all businesses can make mistakes but those who make up for it are those you want...

Nana's is the cutest little bakery, love the personal feel of walking into your neighborhood bakery and getting bread fresh out of the oven. Great healthy options and divine less healthy options as well. We had them do a cake for a gender reveal (we didn't know the gender and they surprised us with a layer of pink icing in the middle) and we were not disappointed in the appearance and the taste of the delicious cake covered in what we decided was the best buttercream icing we'd ever had. I ordered a banana cream pie from Nana’s.. although it looked appealing, it tasted extremely rancid (turns out they used old LARD to make the crust.. They don’t even use butter there) 😖.. We were all dumbfounded at how anyone working on this pie could’ve miss this, let alone sold it!!?
