Very disappointed with our visit here tonight. I visited the Red George in late July with a friend for lunch and we were both happy with the surroundings, the service and the food. At that time, my friend got a beef dip - served on a delicious crusty bun with thinly sliced, well stacked beef and a nice dip. I had a quesedillia and it was savoury and nice. Accompanied by a light, refreshing draft on tap a good lunch. Thus, when my sister and I decided to bring our younger sister out for her birthday dinner, Ithought it a good choice. BAD CALL. First, the service provided by a young woman was GREAT - she was personable, pleasant and efficient made a very creditable first time for her martini. On my suggestion, the birthday girl got the beef dip, I got the Philly Cheese Steak and my other sister scallops. Birthday girl and I started with Ceaser salads, my other sister house salad .... house salad was fine. Ceaser not so much. The croutons were so incredibly stale and hard, you could have broken a tooth on them and they couldn't be eaten. My sister got her beef dip and it was AWFUL - thickly cut, overcooked gristly meat - two bites and she was done. My Philly cheese steak came and was inedible. Half inch CHUNKS of overdone fatty and gristle beef which on my first bite, was so unpalatable I had to spit it out. In the end, we took a to go container and brought the meat home to our dogs who weren't fussy. It was literally not able to be eaten. My other sister (admitedly a gourmand)- said the scallops were "adequate". All in all a very disappointing and inedible meal - really was disappointed as we were celebrating a birthday. Definitely...

Long story short, the wife and I were on a senior bus trip to Quebec. We stopped here for dinner. Great food and service. When we attempted to leave, the bus broke down and we were stranded! To our good fortune, the Pub employees stayed well past closing to service us until the replacement bus arrived at about 12:30 AM.
This establishment went above and beyond to satisfy their customers. I cannot speak about today, but back in the day, everyone was pleased with this establishments "going the extra mile" to take care of their customers, especially in their...
Read moreWell, I just came back from one of the worst meals I have had in a long time. First sight, it was a cute little place, then we sat down. Tables were sticky. Ordered the mussels in White wine cream sauce- mussels overdone, white wine sauce tasted only like wine. The club house wrap for $15.99 had very little chicken and a half of piece of bacon....BTW, no sides come with it other than a pickle. The chicken souvlaki was super dry and came with rice pilaf that was dryer than the chicken - the canned carrots and peas did not help. The Greek salad that came with it was ok - minus the no name salad dressing they use for everything. Long story short, I will never go back...
