I first started coming here when they first opened a couple of months ago. They have definitely worked out their start up kinks, and now have a bustling breakfast and lunch crowd.

Overall, the service has been fabulous, but like all restaurants busy breakfasts and lunches mean that you will need to chill and notice that no one is standing idle. I've enjoyed their seafood fettuccine, burger, wings, and fajitas. My favorite is actually their classic burger and fries.

I tried their calamari, but I believe it needs some tweeking.

I am looking forward to trying breakfast, as there are many different menu options.

Their menu offers homestyle classics, but again with some upscale options. Even fussy eaters will find something to wet their appetites. Look for their daily 25% discounted items, and their 15 dollar lunches.

The manager and the staff are personable, professional, and committed to their customers' enjoyment of their dining experience.

The old dining room has been given a bit of a badly needed face-lift, but not to the extent that it is unfamiliar to the loyal customers of the former Cavalier Room.

The antiquated bar has been modernized, yet it retains a classic feel to it. It's brighter, and lighter without being over the top

Thus far I have been happy with my experiences and interactions at this new establishment.

Give this makeover of the old Cavalier Room a try. I do not think that you will be disappointed.

Went to Rhodes last night with a group of 12 employees. I had made the reservation a few weeks ago, but was called a few days prior to ask if we would mind NOT being in the dining room, as they had several large groups in that night. I agreed, and we were seated together over on the cafe side. Turns out, that was a good decision because we could at least hear each other on that side. The restaurant gets VERY loud when it’s busy. That is not anything the owner and staff can control, obviously. I had a little speech to make, so I waited and it quieted down enough for that.

The food was outstanding! I didn’t hear a single negative thing and there was a variety of dishes ordered, as well as starters and some very tasty desserts! There was a bit of a delay with the dinners coming out at the same time, but again, difficult to accomplish when the restaurant is so packed. It wasn’t a huge noticeable gap where people were done before others got theirs. Just a little slow.

Our server was Shana, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her! Very friendly, accurate with the orders, and attentive, even though I’m pretty sure she was serving that one whole side! We have done many, many of these staff dinners over the years and the server can make or break the evening, so we were so pleased with Shana. She’s a real asset to Rhodes!

Thank you all for the service and the wonderful night out. You will be...

The girlfriend and myself liked this place but did want to give comment on our meal and one other item. I had ground sausage, chicken penne, and was disappointed. I found chicken pieces but couldn't find the ground sausage. Way to much cheeze sauce, it over powered the dish. Penne that i have had before many times elsewhere was chunks of sausage and no chicken. The flavors are simple and can taste the spicy sausage without a heavy cheese taste. The chicken did nother for the dish . I would cut down drastically on the cheese for this dish and add chunks of spicy sausage and drop the chicken. The tastes are very confusing and seemed to be a bunch of stuff tossed in cheese sauce. The girlfriend had a noodle dish with shrimp. The only issue with hers was the shrimp still had the skin on the tale portion. I suggest if you mix shrimp in a dish get rid of that portion because people dont expect to go through the shrimp tearing the unwanted shin off. Customers expect to eat it all without getting fingers covered in sauce. Her dish wasn't very flavorful and with having to remove stuff off her shrimp it made matters worse. One other issue, get rid of the benches . That section looks nice, tables, lighting, all ok but bench seats are tacky. Chairs and tables make it look soooooooo...

Was my first time here but I’ve heard nothing but great things about Rhodes. The hype was real. Prices are great for the amount of food and how good the quality is. I got the western omelette for 14$ that not only comes with fruit but also a salad. Everything was great and tasty. The potatoes could use a little tweaking to be perfect but they’re still good. Omelette had lots and lots of ingredients inside of it! My wife got the 2 egg breakfast that’s 7$ without protein but with protein it’s 10$. They ask you how crispy you want your bacon which is a nice touch. Service was pleasant and quick. The restaurant is small but has a good atmosphere to it. Overall this is a must go to restaurant! Cost us 28$ for both our meals which is all most unheard of! I’ll definitely be coming back for more breakfast and even lunch or dinner. If I ever needed a hotel I’d probably stay here just cause I know the restaurants so good with it.

I ordered Halibut special for $20.00. Excellent price but a bit overcooked…so a little hard. The salsa was okay but way too much rice without flavour under the dish stack. Carrot puree’ and sautéed carrots enhanced the look but the flavour was amiss. There was no lemony or tarty taste to it. There could have been some seasoning…even Cajun dry spread would have enhanced the flavor tremendously. Our food arrived in 8 minutes of order. The other dish …chicken souvlaki was excellent: chicken cooked to perfection and good salad and rice, pita with tzatziki, was done the Greek way…the way generally done in Canada. And the third one was Roast Beef with Yorkshire pudding. Good flavor but again a lot of food: way too much mash. The prices were good and and the service was great. Will return for some other dishes next time: The small crème brûlée for $12.00 was a bit much in price!

Small but nice restaurant off of Gardiner and Princess in front of the Farm Boy. We ordered the lobster pasta and the grilled shrimp tacos, which came in a sizzler plate. Taste was excellent, and left you wanting to have more. Great service though sometimes the staff are a little absent minded or busy talking with each other instead of paying attention. Otherwise, very friendly and the owner would be out meeting patrons and helping as well. The restaurant is very nicely spaced apart, though I’m unsure if the atmosphere is supposed to be as dark as it is. There are a ton of things on the menu which I would like to and will eventually try. Great spot to go to with family, friends, or even work.
