Riviera Pizza - A family review (Our quest to find the best pizza place in Windsor) Review #4 (see Windsor Pizza for review #3) $44 for 20 slices and 3 cans of pop. Riviera Pizza is very elegant inside. The store itself has a great atmosphere. The store is modern and the inside is family friendly. It seems like a popular spot. The pizza was made on time and was a little overcooked, which isn't always a bad thing. Daughter 7 - Neutral (side thumb) Son (Harsh critic) Pre taste - 6/10 Cheese - 7 Sauce - 7 Crust - 5 Overall -6 Wife - (Relaxed critic) Pre taste - 5 Cheese - 7 Sauce - 7 Crust - 5 Overall - 6 Dad (Neutral critic) Pre taste - 5 - Did not look too appealing. Very small slices for the most part. Cheese - 7 - Cheese was good, unfortunately it was a bit hard due to over cooking. Could have been a point higher. Sauce - 5 - Not very much on most pieces. Hard to taste. Crust - 7 - Crust was nice and crunchy. I enjoyed it. Overall - 5 - What you pay for this pizza isn't worth it. Riviera advertises 20 slices as a family pizza, unfortunately the slices you do get are very small. 3 or 4 of the slices being average size, the rest very thin. The pizza I received was a bit overcooked which made the cheese a little stiff. I did enjoy the crunch it added to the crust however. Me and my family would not recommend Riviera to anyone who's never had it before. The quality and quantity isn't worth the price in our opinion. Overall family score - 56%

Staff was super friendly when I called and placed my order and had a nice chat with the girl while I was waiting for my order when I went and picked it up. I noticed some signage advertising their BBQ sauce so I bought a bottle. Tried a little when I got home, delicious! Can't wait the next time I'm smoking some wings to finish them with Riveria's sauce they are going to be dynamite. My wife, daughter, and I had the standard panzarotti's and they were awesome, and my son had the vegan one. He wasn't crazy about the vegan one, but he ate enough to fill him up so no biggie. Next time we order we will be ordering their pizza it looks amazing from the pics I see in the reviews.. I also would like to try to eat in once it's aloud because it looks like it has a very cozy and inviting atmosphere in the restaurant.

I have been coming to the Riviera since I was a child. I am 60 now. It is the first place I go to eat when I come to Windsor. My Grandmother, her son and her daughter lived around the corner and our first night here it was always pizza from Riviera. We came for 2 weeks every summer from the east coast. Sadly they have all passed away and the house is being sold. No matter to honour the tradition I still went there Friday. You can never go wrong at the Riviera. The owner and his staff from my childhood were always so kind and now their children have carried on that tradition. Thank you Rene for the fantastic service. I am terrible with names but the son of the original owner is just as kind as his dad. I will always make time to come to the best pizza place in Windsor.

This was a place I supported especially through the pandemic when restaurants were forced to close. Boxing Day me and my fiancée went out for dinner, we decided to stop here. I suffer from a rare disorder amd unfortunately and not able to be vaccinated. The waitress told us to sit l, as we sat 1 of the owners Rene came to our table saying she heard there was an issue. This caught us off guard I began to explain more then I needed to, she continued to speak loudly having other customers just stare at us, while the rest of the staff stood behind the bar staring at us. She then insisted that I need to pull up the Ontario website proving that I can eat in the restaurant. I have never felt so embarrassed and disappointment in my life. To be centred like that was disgusting. I have left reviews on their Facebook along with many supporters of mine. I am not an anti vaxxer, the people who run this have lost many regular customers over this. I am hoping more will continue to support me with this cause. With all the support I have received they had to shut down their Facebook page down to try and hide from their disgusting behaviour. Thank...

Ask for extra sauce on your pizza an get big puddles of sauce splattered in a few slices of the entire pie. Big blobs and puddles. Let alone no toppings they cheap out on toppings and cheese. I had to spread my sauce that was in big puddles on my pizza all around. The sauce was added on top extra sauce just means a thicker layer of sauce on bottom before baking. Not this puddle of sauce splatter I had to spread across half a king size pizza. Toppings are scattered very thin. I have never been this disappointed in there pizza before and have eaten there for 10 plus years. Id of complained directly to them but I am sure no small business nowadays will remake a whole king an I dont expect that. The place is heavy on attitude and light on toppings. Hope they read this an maybe if I order again in few years they will know better by then. If its about cost then just say we need to charge a few bucks thats not a big deal. But choosing not to charge an then using sauce like its a ketchup bottle is...
